In the passenger side behind the plastic kick panel there is a control module that works the trailer lights, if you got the towing package. My lights were malfunction and it turned out the unit in the kick panel was not wired up properly from the dealer. Have a dealer check it or get the installation diagrams from a nissan dealer or the web and investigate your module on your own. Best of luck.

Trailer turn signals work. but markers lights do not?

there are fuses for all lights in your truck. those fuses sre located in the IPDM box, whiich is the box by the battery. there is a black cover about 6inches by 7inches. under that lid is the IPDM where you need to look and fine the fuse that is blown. start there. if the fuse is blown, replace it and recheck your rear plug for power at appropriate pins. if you have power everywhere at the connector and then you plug your trailer to it and the same fuse blows again, then i would be looking at the trailer harness for short causing the fuse to blow.

I have the same problem as discribed below. 2007 Nissan Frontier -- Trailer running lights stopped working. Brake lights and turn signals still work. Where is the fuse for the trailers running lights....

the fuse is inside of the IPDM the white box on r/h side of truck by the battery. there is a black cover that you have to remove to see the white IPDM box. the IPDM has fuses and relays. the tail lamp fuse is the 10amp fuse las one in the row of fuses. its by it self with no fuses next to it. check the IPDM cover on the inside. its marked.

I have a 2005 Frontier with factory tow package ... just had problem with right trailer turn signal not working .... dealer replaced blown fuse .... Question: In case this happens on the road, where is the...

I actually know the solution. I just went through it. It's a very long story, and I cannot tell you how mad I am at the Nissan Dealership in Grand Junction, Colorado, for not knowing the answer to this question right away. It has cost me over $500 and 500 miles of driving to learn the location of this tiny fuse holder. Look straight up above the brake pedal and accelerator pedal (under the dashboard) and see a wiring harness that plugs into the "Body control module" above the steering column. You should see two mini fuse holders sticking out of this harness. They are whitish in color, like a gallon milk bottle. One is for the right trailer turn signal, and one is for the left.
This is the only year Nissan Frontier where this is true (as far as I know) it is the result of a recall on that year where they installed this harness. If your truck went in for the recall, then you will have the same harness located in the same place. Good luck, Bob Walker, Moab, Utah

I am connecting a trailer towing harness to my Nissan 2004 Titan (2wd), to tow my boat and need to know what the color codes to the parking, stop, and reverse wires are.

if you go to the parts store they make them ready to plug in you will have to just unplug the tail lights and plug the wire harness inplace of it then itll plug back into the original spot.

Parking lights on Nissan Frontier on - trailer parking not. 4 pin connector to factory connector (after market sealed wiring) - brake and turn signals work - no power to "brown" wire at factory connector...

First check the fuses. There may be one for trailer running lights. Check also power at the harness. If the brake lights and turn signals are seperate, there has to be a converter from 5 to 4 wire. For the power to feed back to the brake lights it sounds like the vehicle wiring is direct and not using a converter... or one of the bulbs on the trailer is contacting both contacts. Try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx and maybe get a simple 4 pin tester that plugs into the 4 pin connecter. Hope this helps.

My harness for my trailer lights quit working.

If the lights are working on your vehicle, then no. With a test light, check to see if you're getting power on the plug coming from the vehicle. You should if all the lights are working on your truck. I'd check the ground wire to the plug on the trailer harness... probably loose or disconnected, especially if everything quit all of a sudden.
