http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Ok here is a wiring diagram for the horn circuit on your 06 PT Cruiser . Enter your vehicle info year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on interior & driver Amenity . Under subsystem click horn . You will see

1 diagrams found. with a search button under it , click search . Click on the blue link and then your horn diagram will pop up . It's probably nothing your going to understand . Do you have a air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Do you know anything about computer controlled systems on automobiles ? C.A.N - controller area network ? Horn will not shut off, 2006 PTcruiser

Clock spring in steer wheel faulty possible. dealership should only work on this because of airbag in steer wheel assembly.

I have a 2006 pt cruiser. Randomly the horn is blowing with the car sitting in the driveway

Could be a short in the wire to the horn. I would inspect it under the hood. The horn has power even when the key is off, so a short could cause this. If it`s in the steering wheel, I would let a professional work on it, since working around the airbag sensors is dangerous.

That probably won't be the case here . Chrysler , dodge an jeep vehicles use a TIPM - totally integrated power module (computer) that is used to control most of the thing's your have listed . The TIPM is part of the engine compartment fuse box.(internal) Chrysler has a recall on some model year's . You should take it to a Chrysler dealer .

I need a clock spring for the horn in a 2006 PT cruiser

My horn quit honking on my 2006 chrysler pt crusier..

find the horn ,it should be at the front possibly behind the bumper ,run a wire direct to it and see it works ,if it does work then its the wiring in the steering wheel ,but as this vehicle no doubt has an air bag then entrust this job to a garage because if you get it wrong the air bag will explode ,expensive job to say the least

Change settings so horn does not honk when arming via remote

If this is even possible...which im not sure..you would be best goin to a dealer..and let them show you how to use your alarm remote..the BUMs show do it for nuffin..Good luck

Horn Solution

The horn is located in the front fenderwell on the passenger side behind the inner fender. You can't see it until the inner fender is taken out of the way.

SOURCE: The horn on my 2006 sebring is going out. Is this a major fix?

It is located behind the right headlight assembly, remove that, one mounting bolt, and wiring harness, and it's out.
