2008 Altima with leak involving floorboards on driver side. Went to a body shop where car had been repaired previously. Tech advisor said he knew instantly that the problem was the "tubes" associated with the sunroof, that the tubes were clogged and needed blowing out. He cited that this could be done for me in one day at no charge to me. Dropped off car today for repair tomorrow. Hope it works, as I vacuumed out nearly 4 gallons of water from the floor boards yesterday!

Of course you could remove the big rubber grommet under the carpet and let the water drain out until the problem is fixed

SOURCE: water leak inside the car

Whats causing this is that the drain hose for the evaporator is clogged and overflowing into the car. what has to be done is get under the car and find the drain hose, which is going to be on the passengers side of the car by the firewall, and get either compressed air and blow into the hose to try to free the blockage

SOURCE: 2003 Pathfinder SE is bouncing

> Does this vehicle have shock absorbers or leaf springs?
It would be either leaf or coil springs; shock absorbers serve to prevent that continued bouncing and these may be simply shot.
The crude way of checking shocks still works somewhat:
- Position yourself on each corner of the vehicle and through repeated pushing down and letting the corner come back up, get some momentum and then let go at the bottom of the cycle.
If the shocks (which may be located within coil springs- McPherson struts) are still effective, the vehicle should rise slightly once and then settle. If they are blown, there will be some continued 'overshoot.'
The leaked fluid can be checked for odor; brake fluid is pretty distinctive while lubricants will smell somewhat like oil or grease. This could be from a shock but most are now gas filled rather than with a type of hydraulic fluid.

SOURCE: after it rains water is in trunk Nissan Altima

When diagnosing a water leak, here's a handy tip. Check the accumulated water. If the water is dirty, look for leaks from the underside of the vehicle (floor, wheelwells, etc). If the accumulated water is clean, look for leaks from the topside of the vehicle (trunk seal, window seal, etc). To find where the water is coming from, shut yourself in the trunk with a flashlight and have an assistant run water over the trunk with a garden hose. You may have to remove some of the interior trunk trim to see exactly were the water is coming from, but chances are you'll find it. Also another common cause of water leaks are from impact damage, so check for collision damage repair. while your in there. -hope this helps.

SOURCE: Nissan Altima Water Leak

I also have a 2009 Nissan Altima and after sitting or driving in the rain the entire back floorboards are soaked. I took it in last year and supposedly they replaced a "plug". Unfortunately the repair was done at the end of the rainy season so everything seemed to be okay. Fast forward to this seasons first real rain and again soaked floorboards. I went back to the dealership very frustrated with the whole situation. This time they had had my car for 4days and I was told that the HVAC box was leaking due to a clogged line. The line was cleared and sealants used on certain areas. The service advisor is confident that this will take care of my problem. I'm not so confident since my HVAC system was not in use when the car was just sitting there filling up with water. Wish me luck. I am curious how many 2009 Altima's are having this problem and if Nissan is just trying to avoid some sort of recall notification. Very dissapointed 1st time Nissan owner.

On a dark rainy night, I drove thru deep puddle on road that normally has barracades if water is high. my 2013 altima had water rush in & up thru floorboards (only on driver side) where I was...

This should not be possible unless this car was in a bad accident & was not fixed properly. Are you the first owner? even if not a 2013 should still have factory warranty for a problem like this. A new car like this should be almost air tight. & having water getting in means something is very very wrong. Get advice from a dealer or a body shop.

What causes a 2012 nissan altima to have standing water in driver side?

That could be a leak around the windshield. Try driving in the rain, this creates suction to the inside of the car, pulling water into it. If water starts filling in then you have a crack somewhere along the edge of your windows seal. It would likely be leaking down behind the dashboard where you can't really see it. I had a Malibu where somebody crashed my passenger door, after that was fixed by the insurance company, I was driving down the highway, and noticed water pooling in the passenger floorboard. I was alarmed, and called the insurance company claiming the body shop they paid to fix the car messed it up more. But I took it to safelight first, and insurance paid for a new window. Then the leak stopped.

My 2008 Nissan Altima was caught in high water and died but it will not start again. Is there a fuse or rest button that will help get it started?

In doing a study (on ALLDATA which is just like a factory manual) of your car for any electronics that are low enough on the car whether it be inside or outside the car, there is nothing that should be effected by water getting up to the level of the floorboard. The water would have had to have come up higher. To answer you initial question, NO there is no reset button. It would be a wise idea to bring the car to a repair shop where experienced technicians can look at your car because driving in deep water can have other damaging effects on the car.

Saab 93 2001 steering rack broken free on driver side

I think there is no such kit, but finding a body shop somewhere in the northern United States that specializes in Saabs would be your best bet.
I have had this problem with several vehicles, caused by rusted out floorboards from salt on the road in winter. I have successfully fabricated a patch for the rotted floorboard and attached the steering rack on 3 cars, none Saab.
It takes finding a suitable piece of steel and forming it to fit the floorboard, the attaching the rack to that. I have done that under the front center of the car, not inside.
Be blessed in your quest.
