SOURCE: how remove the rear inside door panel on a 2001 oldmobile aurora

The inner door panel is held in by clips and screw.
Look at the door near the door handle there should be screws holding it in and along the outer edge of the door. Once loose, and the door handle removed or the arm rest removed. The door panel then prys out , because of the clips that hold it on. Then pops out by applying pressure to the panel upward to the top of the door. The clips always break because of the design and plastic.

Good luck

SOURCE: window dropped into rear door panel. How do I remove the panel & repair

the window regulator has failed. the door panel has to be removed first which requires removing the trim piece that is on the grab handle (extremely hard to remove without breaking) there are three of four screws that hold the door panel on. once the door panel is off, the vapor barrier has to be removed. don't tear it, it is there for a reason to keep water out of the vehicle. make sure you reseal it properly with window weld. once the vapor barrier is removed you will need to unclip the window glass from the regulator. i typically will take and break the tab that holds the window. once the window is loose, move the glass all the way to the top of the door. now remove the regulator, swap the motor over, and reassembly. i would recommend taking the vehicle to a bmw dealership, around $650 for the complete repair and the dealership will stand behind their repairs

SOURCE: how do you remove the rear side door panel to

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

Back hatch won~t open with remote or inside door locks will open manually nothing stuck or jammed?

Found this wiring diagram for lift gate, if that is what we're talking about? Not only check the fuses, check fuse circuit for voltage. Use a testlite.

Rear passanger side window won't go up or down

Window regulator most likely but before changing it out take the door panel off and apply current to the contacts of the actualy regulator. If the window goes up then switch the contacts and now it will go down. If nothing then regulator (window motor) is bad. If it works then your master control switch for all the windows is going bad.

Rear right power window fuse Where is located Never used before used today for first time work down but don't work up

There will be a fuse compartment under the dash on the passenger side of the dash. Fuse number 16 Is the fuse for the right rear window switch. If the fuse is o.k and you have a test light or volt meter, know how to use them, and can remove door panels I will be happy to talk you through some diagnostic procedures to see if it's the master switch, the right rear switch, or the window motor.

Just bought 2000 Ford Focus SE sedan.Neither rear window will operate from drivers door or from rear door switches.Fuse is good. Any other places to look without tearing into door panel?

Look to see if there may be a child safety feature. Not allowing passengers to roll their own window down. The drivers window switch is the master switch that controls all others. For example, if drivers window switch was disconnected than none others would work. Some vehicles it is not necessary to remove door panel when removing the master control switch. I'm not sure if you are one of the ones that doesn't have to do that.. good luck.

Drivers door panel removal

The book says 1. remove power accesory switch panel by using suitable flat blade tool at front. 2. Disconnet electrical connections.
3. pry door handle plug by using small flat bladed tool
4.remove door trim handle mounting screws
5. remove door trim panel from retainers.Start at rear bottom corner and pry outward.
6. remove door panel.
KD does make a tool that will properly pry the door panel away from reainers. KD 3705 You might get by with a screwdriver.
One other thing you may need to have the window down to get the panel to come off. You will have to lift up on it once it is loose from the fastners.
Hope this helps you out.

Rear window defroster not working Questions about the rear window defroster. I have about 4 lines, a gap and then the rest of the defroster. Top part does not work. I was told that this was an antenna....

The top part is the antenna. If the whole thing doesn't work ck this out.

My defroster quit too. I found a wire burned in the connector that is found under the fuse box that is located inside the car on the passenger side kick panel.
You have to remove the entire kick panel to access the large white connector not just the fuse door. The panel just unsnaps as you lift up and out. Start from the panel seam beside the passenger seat and lift up and back. You'll also have to unsnap the carpet there too.
You'll see the white connector that has a lot of wires on it. If you'll unsnap the connector you'll see the burned wire. It will be thicker than the others and purple. Just cut the purple wire on both sides of the connector and splice them together with a piece of wire the same gauge and it will work fine.

Back window won't work

The fuse for the rear window is a 30amp fuse located under the drivers side of the dash. It should be the only 30 amp fuse in that fuse box. Also there is a relay that controls all the functions of the back door. It is located inside the rear door. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
