it might be what I recently found out about mine. take it to an auto parts store and run a diagnostics test and if a code p0505 comes up then it would be your Idle Air control motor circuits
Thats not a valid obdII code. Thats actually an error from the scanner itself not understanding the data that was sent.. I would clear the code and see if it returns. If it does find someone with the proper code scanner for a CAN system.
Code 21 the check engine light will flash 21 times cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. To cycle the
ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the
radio to come on. It does not mean to turn the engine on.
After the IAC is replaced it is not enough to clear the code you must also reset the IAC learned adaptive. To do this you will need a higher end scanner like snap-on or such.
