Check the fuel system relay and or shutoff valve. Probably the relay located under the hood. relays will not contact properly sometimes. especially if you hit a bump and the relay loses connection. Another solution may be that your fuel pump is just about to go. it is making it's last efforts.

The cluster panel what side is the check engine light on 2001 Nissan frontier Exie

when you turn on your ignition to the point before engaging the starter all your warning lights should light up. The Engine Check Light is very obvious, except they throw convention to the wind and show it as 'Service Engine Soon' lamp 'Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL)'.
Page 63 - Section 2-7 Instruments and controls

Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) If this indicator lamp comes on steady or blinks while the engine is running, it may indicate a potential emission control malfunction. The malfunction indicator lamp may also come on steady if the fuel filler cap is loose or missing, or if the vehicle runs out of fuel. Check to make sure the fuel filler cap is installed and closed tightly, and that the vehicle has at least three gallons of fuel in the fuel tank. After a few driving trips, the lamp should turn off if no other potential emission control system malfunction exists.

Nissan Sentra 2005 Service engine light, gas overflow

Start by getting the DTCs diagnostic trouble codes as they will point you in the right direction. You may have some blockage in the vent tube or the vent solenoid fail but really what good is guessing when you can simply get the trouble codes and have a starting point.

Engine light staying on

The engine light comes on from some kind of problem with the engine. It could be a sensor of any kind. The best thing to do is go to a place like AutoZone and have them scan it and find out what is going on. One thing you could check is the gas cap, if she put gas in it and didn't get the cap on tight it could set a code and turn on the light. If you get the cap on right the light should eventually go out. Please rate my answer so I get the points for answering your question.

Hello I have a 2000 Frontier 2 wheel drive and I'm not sure what's going on with it, @about 2000rpm the engine wants to jump and spit and sputter I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs, wires, and the...

your feeling what Nissan refers to as limp mode (also known as fail safe ) Nissan computer strategy is when its detects a computer sensor (that could cause engine damage)has failed,or your engine for any other reason is running in a way that could cause severe engine damage is to make your engine run at limited rpm until the concern is repaired,I would assume your check engine light must be on, if not the bulb in the dash may be bad, anyways the best route is to have the engine control module scan for trouble codes which will get you headed in the right direction.

2000 nissan frontier crew cab gas tank

there may be a recall on the sending unit, but the VIN # needs to be checked by the local Nissan dealer to see if the campaign applies to this truck. Tha campaign is for the fuel pump sending unit, not the gas tank, however in some cases, where the sending unit bolts brake, dealer will have to put a new gast tank into it. it also corrodes on top, where the sending unit seals the gas tank and it turns on the check engine light for a evap small leak, bacause the sending unit is not sealing properly, bacuse of all the rust build up on top of the tank. Good luck.post result.
