95 buick lasabre horn problem

Just bought a 95 buick lasabre and the horn blows by its self. seems very sensitive also. we unhooked the horns but are scared it still will drain power from battery and cause alt. problems also. we heard that we could diarm relay and remove fuse to horn. also get after market horn to replace it. is this true? want to do the cheepest solution.

I pulled my relay under the hood in the relay box up against the firewall. The reason the horns on this car does this I finally fixed mine I kept on putting leather conditioner on the center of the steering wheel where you press to blow the horn. Thats either Vinyl or leather and it shrinks and it make the horn blow just put some conditioner on the material it will take about 2 to 3 months to get back soft.

Ever find out what to do with this? I'm running into the same problem and see multiple refrences to it, but not much for follow up on what fixed it. I pulled the fuse for mine, but it kills the trunk release and automatic locks...so I'm not a big fan of that.

95 GMC Sierra horn does not work, fuse keeps blowing.

the fuse blows because somewhere after the fuse , the wire is dead shorting out to ground
check / replace any horn relays

use a multimeter set on ohms resistance and that will tell you that it is shorting out as it will register as a circuit

How can I remove the horn relay from a 1995 buick lesabre

I believe it is the fourth relay from the left passenger side in the engine compartment against the firewall. I am assuming your horn intermittently goes off by itself. It's a interior heat related issue. The horn pad cover on the steering wheel has a membrane layer. It's basically a switch that has one wire that goes to the horn relay to activate the horn. The Buick GM logo embossed on this plastic cover is where I found it most sensitive to any light touch. Unhook the battery. If you carefully cut the right edge of the the steering wheel horn pad and carefully pry it out a little, it will fix this issue and still be able to use the horn. It's another GM defect. I hope this helps! Let me know.

Horn does't work on my 2000 buick custom motor car

start by checking fuses and horn relay, next check the ground on the horn it self, and if it still wont work you may have to change horn ,to check horn just put power to where horn power would go to it ,it should blow .

Horn stuck 97 buick lasabre

I'd raise the hood, find the horn and remove the wire's from it. Should be a plug that you can release the tab and pull the plug off. You may have a relay stuck or the physical horn button. Look in the fuse block and see if you have a horn relay. You may also be able to remove a fuse to disable the horn.

Only the low horn works, not the high

well there is a clock spring in the stearing wheel for the horn and one for the airbag. and the one for the horn might have broke. i have been told that it cost over a grand to fix. so this is why i still drive with out a horn lol
