P0705....Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input) . probably means that that a plug may have come off or a wire got cut thus the circuit to the Park , Reverse, nuetral , Drive or Low had a "malfuntion". Ot it couldbe the sensor itself on the tranny.

P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)
This would have to do with the transmission.
The computer in your car can't tell what position the transmission lever is put in.

I had to replace my transmission in a 2001 kia rio and now i have codes coming up P0705 P0733 P0734 P1500 P0740 I know before i replaced my transmission the o/d light was flashing on and off but i...

all of the above codes refer to the transmission. have you tried to erase codes using an OBD-II scanner. if no scanner go to auto-zone and tell them you need the codes erased. they will do this for free. evidently the pcm thinks there is still a problem with transmission. clear the codes and see if they come back. have a good day !

Hello. I did a testing to my 2001 Kia Sephia LS and I got 2 codes. The first one is P1624 and the second one is P0705. I went to a repair shop and they said all I needed was the Transmission Range Switch...

P1624 could be a problem with the TCM. Needs to go to a shop to get fixed. As the transmission range switch I recommend have an experienced mechanic do that as well.

Your top O2 sensor (the LAF sensor) may be unplugged or the wire may be damaged, or it may be dead.

P0705 error code

Google search for P0705 Rio Error Code and I found this: http://www.kia-forums.com/3g-2006-rio-rio5/39179-error-codes.html Scroll down and the 705 code says: P0705 Transaxle Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (PRNDL Input). Yer hubby will have to go to Autozone for a Hayes Rio Shop manual and look to see if its something he can fix. If it's in warranty, take it in. TJ

2001 Kia Rio running too cold

First thing to test would be the thermostat. If this is stuck open the engine would never reach correct temperature.
