well there is a fuel pressure regulator which keeps pressure on, even while engine is off. i would suspect it is bad, or you have something else leaking pressure off while the engine is not running.
And it is located inside your cars gas tank. To remove your fuel pump from your 2000 Chevy Cavalier you will have to drop and remove the gas tank to get to it. Unfortunately there is no access port to make it easy on this model of car.
my 92 cavalier was running then just quit any sugestions
