I change the air filter and the up pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body. i get weird iddle when i start the car in the morning

ill give it a try.. thanks

Mine is an '03 but I pretty much have the same problem. Car idles weird and when I give it some throttle it spits black **** out of the exhaust. I just changed the intake manifold and after I turned it on it threw that code. The intake manifold is ported, not sure if it makes a difference. Checked over all my connections, they are good. The gasket between the manifold and the head is tightened down to specs and throttle body and spacer are tightened down to the intake manifold. The rubber pipe from throttle body to the manifold has a clamp on it but I tightened that down as well. No changes. Still getting the code. The only other thing that is not zip-tied is the brake booster line that connects to the bottom of the intake manifold but I don't think that it will interefere with my vacuum. The vacuum gauge reads 15 inches of vacuum just like when it was stock so the leak must be small. Is there a way that I can find a vacuum leak? Maybe a trick or something I'm not thinking of? And where exactly is the IAC valve located? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

i still have p 1190 code = tip censor high
now i have p 0344 code = camshaft position sensor intermittent
    and i have a p 0113 = intake air temp sensor high

can some one help me either by locating these sensors so i can either replace them or check the wiring.

Thanks for helping me out on this

check over your connections, you have a vacuum leak maybe a hose got knocked off? clamp not seated? the weird idle is probably being caused by the vacuum leak, also check the IAC idle air control valve on the throttle assembly, make sure its not stuck

you have a vacuum leak, code p1190 means engine vacuum leak. have you replaced anything lately? air filter? cold air intake tube?

My SRT-10 Truck keeps shutting down on it's own. First it was about every 2 miles. Now it is about every 10 seconds. The temp here has been in the mid to high 30's. Been going on for two days. I can...

If your engine light is on find out what code it is reading. Do this by turning the key on and off three times leaving it on the third time. The code should read in the odometer. Then take the code and look it up on line or go to Auto Zone who will tell you what it means. I had the same problem, the code was 320, crankshaft sensor, I bought a new one and replaced it. No more problems. This seems to be a common problem with crysler/dodge vehicles.

How can I find a diagram of the 'intake manifold' on a Dodge Neon SRT 4 2005? I've looked everywhere....can't afford to pay for a download or a manual from Auto Part Store

Now you own a vehicle that is at most, only 7 years old

If you can not afford an auto parts store manual, which by the way, will be
next to useless, how do you do any preventative vehicle maintainance,or
in your case, possibly break down repairs?

Engine noise once and a while

If the check engine light is on, I would take the car to an autoparts store and have them use a scan tool to retrieve any fault codes stored in the computer. Most parts stores will perform the scan for free. Getting the codes will show any engine faults that the computer has identified. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Dodge srt 4 emergency break needs adjustment

This type of e-brake should actually adjust each time you engage it. If it no longer holds, the e-brake shoes may need replacment, or the friction surface they contact maybe rusted and not able to hold properly. I recommend you see your mechanic about this. Contact me nd let me know how you make out, or if you need further help.

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located directly next to the starter.
  1. On 2.4L SRT-4 remove the lower inner cooler hose from the metal tube.
  2. Remove the Structural Collar
