1994 CHEVROLET C1500 PICKUP 4.3L V6 vortek cranks no start backfiring thru the Throttle body fuel injection system. The Distributor has a small hairline crack under the reluctor wheel could this be the problem? Replaced cap, rotor, ignition coil, pick up coil, Ignition Control Module (ICM), spark plugs, and spark plug wires. It has Lots of spark to all cylinders. It has good compression around 100 LB or more in all cylinders. The throttle body fuel injection system was rebuilt the fuel injection preacher regulator diaphragm was replaced and new injectors were installed. When cranked the throttle body fuel injection system sprays out 2 nice cones of fuel. I was able to aliened the timing at TDC it did not change anything. Thanks Ron z

100 psi per cylinder is way too low--should be in the vicinity of 150-165 per cylinder
back firing indicates wrong firing order and as you have replaced the plugs etc check that you have the leads on the correct plugs in the correct order
the timing for the engine should be around the 10 degree btdc and not tdc

Enging cranks but no start, has spark and gas

Your engine is flooded with fuel. Check your throttle body if it's a fuel injected engine. Clean it. Remove spark plug, let it dry or replace with new ones.Try flooring your acc pedal and start. If it starts, you need to get the carb serviced. For fuel injected, you need to service/ repair/replace your throttle body, fuel injectors, idle air control valves and EGR.

When i give it full throttle it backfires through the throttlebody? already replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor, idle air valve. cant find crank positioning sensor to set timing.

When you state you have a "Cap & Rotor", indicating an engine, which may possibly be OLDER than the 1994 S-10 it is in. A Crank positioning sensor, on a full throttle body, (or do you mean carburetor/combo/injector system) Not the true name, but, in appearance, looks like a carb. It has a "pulsating" injector within the opening of the butterfly/mouth of the throttling body. When you have an ECM, or Computer Command timing, with a crank sensor, you will have 2 coil packs for 4 cylinder, a 3 coil pack for a V-6. They will be just under the electric cooling fan for the radiator. If you are driving a "bought used" vehicle, and the Cap, Rotor, & wires are only accessed thru the RH wheel well, it is a "Distributor System" & an OLDER engine. The Back fire is being caused by a "jumped" timing belt, or HOPEFULLY, a crossed spark plug wire.

94' blazer will not strart just died one day while driving it .i replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel ragulater, if you spray starting fluid in it it will start but then die whin the starting fluid burns...

check to make sure they sold you the right fuel pump. they are two pumps for a 4.3 ones a vortek and one is a throtlle body. the eighth digit of the vin will tell you one is a vin w and one is a vin z. the throtlle body only puts out about 11psi of pressure and the vortek puts out about 60psi of pressure.if you put the throttle body pump in a vortek engine there is not enough fuel pressure to run it.

90 chevy 350 tbi crank no start, truck was started driven around the block parked it and let it idle a few minutes before shuting it off, the next day it would not start, it acts like timing is off and is...

You first need to check the fuel pressure, an easy way to access this is to buy a can of spray starting fluid, spray it into the TBI throttle valve and if the truck starts and dies you have no fuel pressure. Replace the fuel; pump, and make sure you get the right pump, it is a low pressure system.
