My 1988 2.2l Dodge Daytona Turbo will start but dies right away its getting fuel but what else could it be?

need to change the pick up coil in the distributor it has i belive its a plug in with 2 wires black and white.i had the some problem the car would run for a few miles then would just turn off when hot then would start up the part ran me about 20 bucks

If the engine was ran that much after overheating, you probably warped the head.

The crank sensor may also have been damaged by heat and need to be replaced. Check the spark plugs as well for cracked insulators or worn (read melted) tips.

if its fuel injected id bet the injector timing sensor on the crank or camshaft is on its last legs, get it checked out
