many peolple and parts store sales persons as well. they should have used a memory saver.you need to break out your manual on audio.the code should be there, if you don't have one you can call the honda dealer with your vin number explain your problem and they will give you the code.

Black is not good for fluid color. The transmission has been neglected or abused. Sometimes changing the fluid at this stage will create new problems with dirt/gunk being cut loose by the clean fluid. I guess you can try it to see what happens ... then get an estimate for repair.

There is a special trim tool set available for this ,but if careful & patient, should be able to do it with basic hand tools. Hope this diagram helps.
