Can the front end parts( hood fenders ect) from a 2002 Pontiac grand am interchange with a 2001 grand prix

No, unless you really do some major modifications to them. It would look good anyway.. I think 99 to 03 works.Grand Prix only.

How to replace front left fender on a 02 pontiac grand. Prix

Best to start by removing the wheel, then the inner plastic fender...held on with plastic push up tabs...remove all under hood fender bolts...probably 13mm...compare your replacement fender to confirm all necessary bolts to be removed, Is your new fender already painted?

2001 grand prix starts and then dies right away

Check the fuel pump inline resistor located on the right side front fender between the frame and the windshield washer fluid canister. When this resistor goes bad those are the symptoms.
