Abs brake lights come on and stay on

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 ABS light on constantly parking brake light on constantly, speedometer doesn't work. Truck drives fine ,brakes a littletouchy at first but then clears up drives great! What gives and how do I fix the problem!

    I have read this spped sensor is on top of the rear end. is it bolted

    on or plugged in? How do I identify it?? Thanks

    I have abs and brake light on and changed speed sensor but it did not fix problem

    Abs light flashes constantly. Periodically the red parking brake light comes on then the yellow abs light is steady

Replace the speed sensor in the rear end.

    It is right on top of the center of the diff. It is the only electrical plug going to the differential. Unplug it and remove the bolt that holds it in and wiggle and twist it out.

these have an ABS relay and possibly a fuse. Rotate the relay and see if it helps, rotate with the horn.

Verify that the ABS wheel speed sensors in the wheel hubs are operating properly. They tell the vehicle individual wheel speeds, and can be just as important as the vehicle speed sensor. Also, verify that the individual wiring connections are properly connected, and inspect the wiring.

you have an code stored in the abs module.likely a bad rear wheel speed sensor.as it runs the speedometer.check wiring to the sensor.it is located on the top of the rear diff housing.hope this helps.

my 99 had a sensor go bad that had similar symptoms. sensor is in rear "pumpkin". mounted on top. $41 at autozone. look at dodge truck forum, do a search.

ABS LIGHT ON, SPEEDOMETER JUMPS TO 20 MPH EVEN IN PARK
Was the sensor an aftermarket one of did you get it from the daler. Aftermarket ones aren't always gapped right. After that check your ABS sensors. I can tell you how if needed. You just need a multi meter.

Transmission doesnt shift abs & brake light on speedometer doesnt work
I had the same problem with ABS light and speedometer, I was told that it is the transmission control module. It has not yet stopped shifting but I have had times where it just wont stay running. It will start and then stall. Hope this helps.

Speedometer intermittent and ABS/Brake light stays on
it sounds like it is the speedometer cable that goes from the speedometer gauge to the transmission is wearing out.unless you have done one of these before then i would suggest having someone do it for you.
