SOURCE: Car dies at random moments

I just had this problem and replaced the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, and coolant temp sensor. i replaced these items because of high mileage. try these but first check your relays located under the hood on the passenger side. sometimes they get hot and fail.

SOURCE: 96 Oldsmobile ciera runs great but dies randomly driving or idle

I would try replacing the ignition module located on the front of the engine where the plug wires connect. The ignition moduel is where the ignition coils them selves screw down to and a harnes plugs into.

Check the ignition timing is correct. I see that you have changed the wires so I suggest that you recheck the firing order for the plugs as it is easy to get it wrong when replacing the leads.

If tune-up, (plugs and wires) fuel filter changed, throttle body cleaned etc, hasn't been done in a while, that would be a good place to start.

The stalling and stopping sounds like the FUEL FILTER. My 84 Reliant was doing the same thing to me. And as soon as i replaced that... The car ran perfect.

89 reliant plymouth car stall out

You're right; It sounds like fuel delivery, but start with the simplest suspects first.
Change the fuel filter(s) first, and if this doesn't get it, go for the fuel pump.

it could be a plugged fuel filter, try replacing that first, its cheap and easy to do, it should be in front of your right rear tire mounted to the frame,it probly is partially plugged and when u start it some debris from the tank might be restricting it even further and causing your problem, hope this helps

NO FUEL GETTING TO ENGINE

It might be your fuel injectors clogged maybe.

Yeah, The fuel filter for a 2.2L plymouth reliant Le is on the passenger side just before the rear tire. Its like right next to the gas tank. Sort of in by the middle (not by the body frame). Hope this helps.
