My 97 ford Taurus blinker quit then radio quit , wipers quit.

I found out that the whole problem was caused my the shift indicator. To check to see if this is the problem take out the mute fuse in you're radio and it will fix it for a while before something else goes wrong. eventually the car will not shift out of first gear. All because of a silly little shifter indicator. funny hugh

Hooked battery up backwards

You need to take the Alternator in for a Bench check. The diodes are probably bad. Wiper switch or motor can be bad. Radio can be smoked.

For wiper motor, the contact points use a system where a derailer mechanically shifts the points to break contact. The contacts are probably fused.

My 97 ford taurus is having blinker and hazzard light problems. ive checked all fuses and all are good im stumped

Not sure what sort of problem your having because you havent stated but as this is a american market vehicle where the stop lights are also the indicator turn signal and on this type of set up you could have a problem with the stop light switch but without more information its difficult to say .

2000 ford taurus wiper problem: wiper blabes are not working?

Check the corresponding fuse in the fuse box. If fine, could be the multi function switch that controls/adjusts wipers, blinkers, high beams, etc.. Hope this helps.

1999 ford taurus stalling, phantom wiper pass and radio pops

this is all to common a problem with the wipers, it is caused by the combination wiper switch, it makes connection all by itself, Ford has issued a TSB (tenhnical service bulliten) on this problem, replace the switch.

1990 Ford Taurus GL windshield wipers park in the wrong position

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus with a similar malfunction the intermittent wiper function is erratic, but the wipers park properly. I'm the original owner & this malfunction was in the car from the factory. I have a regular Ford Dealership manual & came to the conclusion that the Generic Electronic Module located behind the fuse panel is bad (computer glitch in programming) ! Ford Dealers want over $ 300.00 for a brand new module, I haven't checked with my local used auto parts recycler yet, but I know it will be less than the dealer price !
