Are the front side marker lights suppose to blink when the turn singal is on.1999 crown victoria.my lights stay on like parking lights. if they do how can i fix them
On my 1998 Crown Vic the side lights do not blink, so I would say they are not met to blink, If you have side cornering lights those will light when you put the directional lights on! There should two separate bulbs for marker and blinker. It sounds like a bulb is burnt out, bad ground, melted socket or a wiring anomaly. Are you certain it's supposed to have 57 series dual element bulbs for blinker and markers?
It sounds like you have a blown bulb somewhere on the vehicle. particularly on your right side. If one bulb blows it will cause the other lights on that side to fail and either blink fast , not at all, or not turn off...also check the relay for your blinkers. It is only a few bucks at autozone and is easily replaced...they can do it for you usually
Open hood remove all the bolts holding the fender remove side marker light take off fender it should take you about 45 minutes to remove and replace front fender
If the CEL is flashing, the cause of this feeling is undoubtedly an engine misfire. On a Crown Victoria, the CEL only begins to flash when a misfire is detected. Too much misfiring can damage the catalytic converter. This is a warning designed to avoid said damage.

if you are talking about the clear lights that come on when you put your indicators on at night ?? then no they don't blink hope this helps regards Jim
