I need access to fuel module, 02 Dodge Intrepid doesn't have a fuel filter instead it's a $200 fuel module basically the filter is combined into fuel pump, thanks dodge. I have learned access is supposed to be under seats, nothing under the rear seats so far, any suggestions?

It is part of the fuel pump module in the fuel tank. You will need to drop the tank to replace it, but that is rarely necessary since it sits in fuel all day long.

check fuel pressure make sure they are within specs. then if it is , very possible that you a problem with ignition module. this module is known to fail, and my experience using rebuilt is not good it took 6 unit before we got a good one. good luck

The Fuel filter is part of the fuel pump module and is designed to be changed when the fuel pump dies. You can replace the filter separately but you will have to drop the fuel tank.

The fuel filter mounts to the frame rail in front of the fuel tank. The inlet and outlet ends of the filter are marked for installation purposes. Install the fuel filter making certain that it is properly orientated.

NOTE The fuel filter is part of the fuel pressure regulator mounted on the fuel pump module.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
2. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Lower the fuel tank.
4. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   Negative battery cable Purge and vent lines Fuel line from the pressure regulator Filter/regulator by pushing in the locking tab, turning the regulator to unlock it and pulling the it straight up
   

To install:

1. Push the fuel filter/regulator into the fuel pump module and turn to lock it into position.
2. Connect the fuel lines and install the tank.
3. Start the engine, check for leaks and repair if necessary.

you do not, theres no fuel filter to change, theres a filter screen inside the tank on fuelpump, this only gets replaced when fuelpump goes bad and needs replacing,ive never changed a in tank screen unless i was doinng a fuelpump, hope this helps.

The answer is there isn't a fuel filter on a Dodge Intrepid. The 'filter' is the sock that covers the fuel pickup, and if needs to be changed it will require dropping the fuel tank.

you will need to drop the gas tank if you want to access the filter,it's inside.
you should only have to replace this fuel filter if your fuel tank was contaminated with something other than gas,

The combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is used on all engines. It is located on the top of the fuel pump module. A separate frame mounted fuel filter is not used with any engine.
Both fuel filters (at bottom of fuel pump module and within fuel pressure regulator) are designed for extended service. They do not require normal scheduled maintenance.

you should only have to remove the plastic filter holder and the hose is right there on top of the motor.the plastic breather/filter cover is the only thing you should have to remove to get to the hose
