Have the battery load tested as 11.74 volts indicates a problem battery ( should be 12 volts minimum to 13.2 volts in good condition

SOURCE: 93 buick lesabre 3.8 liter starter replaced, new one just clicks

Given the steps you have taken, only one of two things this can be is a resistive connection between the battery and the starter solenoid terminal. Or the battery itself has a bad internal connection. Bear in mind: you cannot crank the engine through the average set of jumper cables unless the battery in the dead vehicle will hold and deliver a good charge. Jumper cables are not really intended to start the car, they are for boosting the good, but low battery in the car being jumped.

Do you have a Chip in the Key? if so that Could be the Problem,Ya see the chip is a resistor and if it looses its ELECTRONIC VALUE in its Case Resistance it wont start to test this Turn the Key in the ON posission then do the Screwdriver thing If it Starts Key is Good and Most Likely the Ignition (SWITCH) is Bad <<ELECTRICAL Side NOY LOCKEST SIDE For More Info Recontact Me

voltage is a bit low. have you tried rotating the engine by hand with a socket on the crank., just to see if the engine is free to move. if the starter engages but not turn, it could be the voltage as they can be regulated this would stop it from flattening the battery via the solenoid, its usually around the 11 volts mark on some types. as low volts will damage the battery. or the battery amperage is not good.

Accidently crossed jumper cables on my 95 buick lesabre has power but wont click or turn over

does that have a silonoid on the starter or seperate from the starter? either way i would test the silonoid. i usually take a screw driver an touch it post to post on the. make sure to keep your hand on the handle an not on the metal because you might get shocked. usually when a vehicle wont turn over but clicks its the starter but if it doesnt click then its the silonoid. hope this helps.

Car died while running and wont start or even turn over. Could the relay switch be bad?

Check ALL FUSES!!!!!!!! Believe it or not I workd on a Buick Century mid 90's model and a fuse marked for injectors was bad and car would not turn over from ign switch. This also caused a no charging problem at the same time cause ign switch sent no signal to alternator to charge.

The car won't turn over. the battery is new.

Have the starter tested. If it tests ok. Then next step will be the ignition switch need to be replaced. But probably you have a bad starter

My 93 Buick Le Sabre wont start consistently.

sometime the ignition switch will cause this problem, a condinuity test is recomended to ensure the contacts are not engaged when key position is off.

Check the condition of the power and ground cables, Bypass the cables with a set of jumper cables, connect the NEG post to the engine with the black cable, and POS to the Starter Solenoid with the red cable. then try it if it starts the cables are bad or poorly connected.

check the battery voltage in stand by and cranking, try jump starting the truck. if the truck will start with a jump the battery could be bad.
If the starter solenoid is separate from the starter then it is possible the solenoid is bad.

Hope this is of some help.
