I have a 1992 toyota camry LE, 4 cyl. and the oil indicator light keeps flickering on and off, what is the problem. I have checked the transmission and the oil levels and they are all okay. Confused as to what to do.

Is it an oil pressure light or an oil change light (check the owners manual) If its an oil change light it may be time to change the oil. If its an oil pressure light you could have a short to ground in the wiring or at the oil pressure sender mounted on the engine. Also are you checking the engine oil with the engine running or off. The transmission is checked with the engine running, engine oil with engine off. If it is low on oil it will intermittently flash. Also when you check the oil wait five to ten minutes after the engine stops to let the oil settle before checking or you may get false readings.

How to replace a fog light bulb on a 2004 Toyota Camry

Video Description
The video above shows how to change the fog light bulb in your 2004 Toyota Camry. Not all models have fog lights - for many Toyotas, it depends on your trim level (XLE) or whether the fog light option was ordered when your Camry was manufactured. Fog lights are typically in the front bumper, below the headlight cluster and are helpful in poor visibility. If one fog light is burnt out on your Camry, we recommend changing both bulbs because the working bulb will be dimmer than the one you replaced and will likely burn out soon anyway.

When you change the foglight on your Camry, be careful not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers which causes the bulb to burn out earlier.

I have 1992 Toyota camry LE 4 cyl, 172,000 miles. The Overdrive off light went on. Some say I need my transmission fluid flushed (automatic) I have heard pros and cons about this. This light went back off...

your overdrive off light came on because the transmission was running too hot. You need to do two things; change your fluid and clean the trans oil cooler in or in front of your radiator. dropping the temperature of a transmission will prolong its life dramatically. I have diagnosed and rebuilt quite a few of them, and I do a lot of off road modifications where transmissions have to do extreme work.

Oil leaking from toyota camry 1992, 1994 model

You don't say what engine it has. The 4-cyl was a better than the V6 for oil leaks.

The V6 had oil leaks from

-rear bank cam cover gasket

-distributor o-ring seal

-oil filter bracket o-ring seal

-crankshaft nose oil seal (less common)

-rear main bearing oil seal (expensive, just leave it)

The 4 cyl leaked oil from

-distributor o-ring seal

-camshaft cover gasket

-rear main bearing seal (expensive, leave it)

1992 Toyota Camry le 6 cyl. 140k recently

Have you checked to make sure you hooked everything back up and correctly some of these hoses have a airflow sensor in them ? The best bet would be to go over all the hoses check for cracks in them.Have a scan ran on the ECM/PCM to see what codes come up some auto parts stores will run this scan for free.it will tell you if a part is going bad. Hope this helps and good luck

Help Me With 92 Toyota Camry LE 4 cyl...

should be a 14mm drain plug on the oil pan. you remove that until no more oil comes out. then put drain plug back in. it should be the only 14mm bolt on the bottom of the pan. then you will have a oil filter below the exhaust manifolds than needs to unscrew. replace with a new one. then fill your engine with 1 gallon or 4 quarts of oil.(same thing) thats all you should need.

i dont know but if you learngin how to work on cars thats a nice car to learn on. it pays off to repair your own car in the long run. you save so much money. :) GOOD LUCK!

good luck,
Michael

92 toyota camry e electrical question

I had the SAME problem with my 1992 Camry LE...except without the water..First, check the back up lamp fuse (there is more than one circuit on that fuse, not sure which). The water would have likely shorted out the circuit. First check for power at the reverse bulb while the car is in reverse (You can do this with the car off) If there is power, check the ground wire, if it is bad...if you splice the ground wire before the connector and run a new wire to a ground in the trunk, then it should work..thats what was wrong with mine..hope this helps

Overdrive problem

the bulb has no feedback. so the flicker is only the bulb circuit. bad contact maybe. use overdrive all the time unless in mountains or towing.
