TL take a D2S type HID bulb available online. If the ballast unit is bad you can find them on ebay a lot cheaper. It's located on the bottom of the headlight. I've even seen full headlight units with the bulb and ballast unit included for a couple hundred on ebay. That would be the easier way to go if you aren't handy with car work. To replace the bulb you need to pull the whole headlight out because Acura uses a security type bolt to secure the back cup onto the headlight. Once the headlight is off the car it's easy to remove the security bolt though with needle nose plyers
I having a same problem as you. I have changed Head light (general head light 12V 37W) I plug out inverter connector and connect 12V 37W bulb directly It works fine.
WARNING: A transient high tension (25,000 V) occurs at the bulb sockets of the high intensity discharge (HID) lamps when the combination light switch is turned ON. It may cause serious electrical shock or electrocution if you do not observe the cautions below .
CAUTION:
Never turn on the combination light switch before fitting the HID bulbs to their bulb sockets and completing the reassembly of the headlight assembly.
Do not service the headlights assembly in wet conditions, such as rain or snow, near a sprinkler system, or when your hands are wet to prevent electrocution.
Do not touch the surface of the HID bulbs with your bare hands and do not stain it with any oils and fats.
Do not disassemble the inverter unit and the ignitor unit.
Do not turn on the HID bulb by using a power source other than the battery mounted on your vehicle.
Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
Combination light switch OFF.
Disconnect the battery negative cable, then disconnect the positive cable.
Disconnect the headlight assembly 2P connector.
Remove the Torx bolt (A) using a Torx T20 bit.
Turn the cover (B) 45 ° counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight assembly.Turn the socket (A) 45 ° counterclockwise to remove it from the bulb (B).
Pull the retaining spring (A) away from the bulb (B), then remove the bulb (B).
Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal.
After reconnecting the battery, enter the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
just did it tke a breath and put on your small hands!If you r talking about hid bulbs i found aftermarket bulbs at www.moble-emotions.com its best to get both and change them togetherso they match i did only one first and you could see the differance big time.On the battery side the black cover to lightbulb neens to b poped off there r two thumb push tab pry light with a screw driver. on pass side take the 10mm bolt off washerbottle and move aside.(.you need a small hex or starbit to remove the set screw.after u get the set screw off takr both hans and twist hard the cover has a slot as u turn off pull out.there is a hook tab about the size of a paperclip un hook at bottom bulb its fixed at top so just lift bottom to top.remove and replace bulb.(twist out )reverse stepsI also looked at a picture on acurra parts site goood luck i think i did it better than discribing

Pull the retaining spring (C) away from the bulb then remove the bulb.
Make sure the bulb harness (D) is routed correctly so it does not contact the reflector (E).
Install the new bulb in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the notches in the bulb align with the tabs in the headlight.
After reconnecting the battery, enter the anti-theft codes for the radio and the navigation system, then enter the customer's XM radio channel presets.
