1987 porsche 944s a/c compressor turns off and on. When at idle does not cut out. when accelerating and under load will cut out. sometimes will come by on after around ten seconds and then cuts out again. pressures are fine and blows 39 degree air at idle. Replace pressure switch but not much difference.

SOURCE: Air Conditioner blows very hot air

ASE mechanic here:
sounds like a mode door is stuck causing the air flow to go across the heater core only and not the evaporator. try activating the hot to cold functions to may be un stick the doors. if no changes then try a computer scanner, these new cars can have HVAC control codes and be accessed with a scanner, telling you the problem. if no access to that a good European shop is the next best thing. They might be cheaper than a Porsche dealer.

My porsche 944s is not taking reverse or 1st gear

Does this problem only occur when the engine is running? If so you have a clutch problem, adjustment, control (linkage or hydraulic), or clutch failure.

87' porsche 944 timing belt change and calibration. HELP!

Timing belts on 944s NEED to be changed every 30k miles. It can be a challenging job. I would recommend a shop. Balance belts, rollers and usually a water pump replacement is recommended at the same time. Cost, approximately $1400. Parts can be purchased cheap, but labor is 8-9 hrs.
If you decide to do it yourself you will need a specific timing belt tensioner gauge tool.
Good luck
