SOURCE: heater and ac blower

I have an '04 with approx. 79000 miles; the blower is going out on mine too. The motor is probably burned out and you will need to replace it. It's about $90 for the part. Kind of a pain to change; I changed the blower motor on my 97 'prix and I had to lay upside down on the passenger seat and work on it upside down. Other than a little physically uncomforable, not too hard to do.

I am just trying to finde out how much it is to replace the ac pulley on my 99 Pontiac grand am the air woks great but pulley is grinding bad do I replace the ac pum to or just pulley and how much for...

The grinding noise is likely to be the pulley bearing. You are best off to replace the whole compressor and have the system recharged. For that year you can get one from AutoParts for about $200. Other parts like gas and a receiver/drier would be about $100-200 and labour about $300

What could cause a grinding noise when turning on the blower?

It is the pressure release valve on the AC unit. The system is clogged so it's creating too much pressure and tripping the valve. Hoses and possibly more needs to be checked and replaced. Probably due to a sealant being used.

HVAC is making rattling noise

Your fan that is attached to your blowermotor is loose, causing the rattle, or the bearings in your blower motor are bad, causing the shaft and fan both to rattle.

01 grand am, ac compressor clutch not activating completely. What supplies juice to electromagnet?

A low refrigerant charge will cause the ac compressor clutch to not come on and/or partially apply. Check the ac refrigerant charge -- if low charge ac. Then re-evaluate
