Dash fascia How do i remove the two parts of the dash fascia ( around gear stick and roadio, and around dials ) in an '89 toyota camry? Step by Step would be appreciated Cheers
Remove two screws at the top of the facia, Carefully pry the center cross piece out. Thewy are held with snaps. Then pry the bottom out carefully Also held with spring snaps.

Undo the trim with blunt flathead screwdriver from around the inner dash where the clocks are, look for screws, maybe 3or4 then prize dash panel off then take dash clocks out, bulbs are in back of dash
This turns out all your dash loghts. There is a wire that runs to the bulb at the gear lever and you will most likly find that it is earthing out on the gear stick when you move it
the ecu is located in the dash on the drivers side. 89 toyota camry. if not there, check passenger kick panel in front of the door, outboard of the glove box. have a good day !
You need to remove complete front dash panel, where are the knobs. First start with the radio cover, after go gently through the all screws, which holds the dash panel. Don't worry, the Toyota plastic material is very good processed and is strong but elastic. Yes after dismounting it will look like You will be scared, but step by step You will finish it good.
is it in the console or dash,for console you need to remove the surrounds around T Bar to ghange the globe in there,if its in the dash you need to remove the dash cluster to replace the bulb there
I would be looking at the dimmer switch for the dash illumination level. You may have a bad connection on the back of the switch, or the rheostat may have a dead spot.
