Power locks very weak ...hardly work work sperraticly...8-( I have 1999 Windstar driver's side and right sliding door power locks very weak. Driver's side won't lock and sliding door won't unlock. I had the driver's side lock off to check it out. I'm thinking the solenoid is the problem. Looking for the part tonight.

If you don't know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a DMM - digital multi-meter ,looking at wiring diagrams to see what all is involved in these system's so you know which wire's to test ,your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop . People that have no clue should not be trying to fix car's . Very weak system operation issue's indicate a high resistance's problem . I'm thinking the solenoid ????? Guessing is not the way ! Voltage drop testing is . Learning how to diagnose the proper way an not making part stores richer ,is the right way .

try taking apart and cleanig all contacts first. make sure you are getting power to switch. Sounds more switches are going bad. They usually last about 5 to 7 years before they start going out.

SOURCE: Driver's side door power locks are stuck; door stuck shut.

sounds like the rods are disconnected the clips hold the rods in place the latching mechanism holds the handle in place as well did you replace the speakers or did a shop? if a shop did then they caused this if you did then you may have caused this either way untill you reattach the rods none of it will work. you will have to manually open the door at the latch from inside teh door behind the panel.

SOURCE: 1998 Ford Explorer Door Lock

Hey guys , i got one that i think i know whats wrong but i want to check with others to see, ok so here it is my lock switch on the drivers side only unlocks the doors it does not lock but all the other lock switches in the car fully work so im thinkin maybe its the driver side door lock switch.

This is a common problem with this model. If you access the wires in the boot between the door you will find a broken wire about an inch from the connector. Hope this helps!!

2006 Honda Odyssey slide door light on.

Here are the codes you posted along with the possible issues that may have caused each code to be triggered. It's possible the circuit these switches share has a problem that needs to be diagnosed.

It could well be a problem with the wiring or a problem with the connections between the switches and the Multiplex Control Unit, or possibly with the Multiplex Control Unit itself.

Why isn't my right sliding door not opening or closing

If sliding door is electric, that's where I would start, check the electrical circuits for voltage and ground. If that checks out, the issue may be mechanical?
Your owners manual should give you some operational info for the sliding door.

My FORD WINDSTAR 2000 SEL driver side sliding door is locked and will not allow me to unlock it even when all other doors have been unlocked.

The door lock actuator is stuck in the lock position you will need to slim jim it open meaning you will have to lose the door lock actuator on the driver sideor replace the door lock lock actuator

Drivers side sliding door lock doesn't always work. can hear the actuator working but no action with door lock

The actuator is weak or bad. It's a real joy to replace too!!! It's not actually that hard but there is very little room in the door for the actuator and your hand!

Power door locks

This could be hard to diagnose for someone that doesn't know about electronically controlled automotive systems . There are two electronic control modules involved ! (FEM) front electronic control module and the (REM) rear electronic control module . The first step would be to hook up a scan tool to look at input data to the control modules. Corrupt signals to the module ! B+ power an ground circuits problems . The wiring inside the harness from the body to driver door , opening an closing of the door breaks the wires over time . Load testing the circuit will find the problem.

1999 - 2000 ford winstar sel power locks very weak ...hardly work work erratically...driver and passenger locks do not lock or unlock automatically.....8-(

On the 2000 Windstar that I was working on, the casing for the door lock actuators had split and the lock knob on the top of the door would twitch when I hit the button, but would not lock or unlock fully. I replaced the door lock actuators (in stock at my local dealership) and cleared up the problem. Also check the bushings that link the rods inside the doors. They are plastic and occasionally wear out
