2001 Honda CRV starts slipping/jumping at 30 to 35 MPH

It runs fine on the freeway. A mechanic suggested taking it out of OD when driving at this speed, it slows it down but the car still feels shakey. Does this sound like the transmission?

2001 Hyundia Sonata changed 4 alternators in 6 months, figure it has to be something else. Car will start and run fine and then will die while driving. Will start up again sometimes on its own and...

Two ways the the battery was the problem:
1. It was not the right voltage battery installed.
2. It was a faulty battery...which is very possible.
As of right now, you Sonata runs, correct?

Car won't turn over randomly

When it will not crank, a mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the clutch safety switch, and the key switch.

02 Jeep Grand Cherokee jumps out of overdrive while driving on highway.

The torque converter is where OD takes place. Look at your transmission fluid cooler to see if it's blocked. The TCM module controls the OD functions so it may not be sending the correct signals.

Is it better to go into D3 wihile car is moving or stopped?

Well every gear has its limitations. I am not sure what the mph ranges for each gear are, but i've gotten to 60+ mph in 3rd gear. The only thing about driving on the freeway in 3rd gear is that it is alot less efficient mileage wise. Your turning more RPMS while on the freeway in 3rd gear so you burn up alot more gas.
Driving in D3 is driving in 3rd gear. It could burn up the tranny but it depends on the vehicle itself. It is not really made to do highways speeds in 3rd gear. It should be in 4th or 5th (OD)
