VW offeres free pdf manuals for download, as long as your car is in the right age range. If your card is out of the age range you can still get them, but they cost £50 . contact VW they can help.
The best solution I can give is that you take it to a VW mechanic. It sounds like the timing is off. Or the injecters are bad. But first respond back to me as to if it is smoking and what color it is. If the smoke is real black, its not getting enough air. Take out the air filter and rev it up and let me know if it is still black. If the smoke is gray or white, then the VW is not getting enough fuel. Get back to me and let me know either way. Thanks
Many sellers on ebay do a CD version but I think some might email you the PDF, worth a look, if not try honestjohn.co.uk they will be able to help Regards Dan
hi,
sounds like the service reminder was not reset during the service.
switch off the ignition. press and hold the button on the dash. switch on the ignition. release the button. now twist the button clockwise . the spanner disappears. switch off ignition.
as the caddy van is based on the polo/seat saloon and has the same non turbo engine any one will do.
also the timing marks are on the top and bottom pulleys(you may need chalk to highlight them) PLEASE replace the tensioner at the same time as these go first.
