My six disc cd player is full but when I push the button for one to eject, it always "error" Is this a fuse problem or is it just stuck?
I have the same problem. I took it apart and got my discs out and it still says error after putting it back in.

My CD player will eject CD's, but when I push a CD in, it will take it about half and when it reads it, it says slot full. I too have this problem. My alternator went out, however and when starting the car after having that replaced it must have reset my CD player and it worked again for about 2 months. I am back to the CD error again tho. Thinking of un-hooking my battery cables to see if that will reset it again.

I assume you are not getting an error displayed on the radio. There are many reasons the player may have failed, from a fuse problem (there may be a blown inline fuse on the power feed attached to the player) to a jammed disk or defective optical reader. In any case, an error should be displayed on the radio. If nothing happens when you press the eject button, I suggest you visit a dealer who should be able to manually eject the cassette.
Hi, Worst thing you done was to remove the battery, but ref: CD player look under the volume control (on/off) you should find a very small hole enough for a paper clip to be pushed in & eject the cd check your fuse since removing battery may have caused quick short touched & blown fuse. Please give feedback at [email protected] Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.
personally I used another not so valuable CD to push the jammed CD back, it appears the ejected CD may bump the open exit gate and get stalled. It has happened several times. Good luck
if you can not eject cartridge
PRESS AND HOLD EJECT BUTTON
Insert credit card or similar under cartridge push fully in and move under cartridge, this will locate micro switch and eject
Then you can check discs
If you can not eject cartridge
Press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge.Push firmly in and move left to right untill it ejects, this will locate micro switch.
The fuse is located on the back of the stacker, this is ok because your head unit recognizes stacker.
Try disconnecting the battery for 1 min and after reconnecting the battery, try ejecting the CD from the radio. This should work, and if it does not then it's mechanical problem with the CD player. Good luck and hope this works.
Yeah, the sensor that detects the presence of the disc is knackered - probably broken off. The eject will always eject the disc. Just press the button with no disc and you will hear it try. Look at ebay for a replacement - theyre dirt cheap!
I had the same problem for months. I checked the owners manual, checked the fuse box, everything I could think of. Then, today, I did some online research and someone said one of the CD's is probably just jammed or slipped out a bit. The suggestion was to gently slide a credit card over the disk (through the door/slot, which in my case was partially open). I just tried it. The door closed and the message said "initializing". It worked! The CD player is back to normal.
One common solution is to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10minutes. When you reconnect, the stereo should reset itself and allow you to eject your CD's . Best of luck!
