Bank 1 is closest to the firewall, bank 2 is in front of the radiator. Sensor 1's are on top, sensor 2's are on bottom (of the engine). Thus bank 1, sensor 1 would be above the cat closest to the firewall and bank 1, sensor 2 would be after the cat (closest to the muffler). Bank 2, sensor 1 is on top closest to the radiator (you can see it from the front when the hoods open) And Bank 2, sensor 2 is front lower. Hope this helped.

2007 Mitsuibishi Eclipse GT

If this is a V6 model, Bank 1 would indicate one side of the motor. Also, if it's the V6 model, I believe there are 3 O2 sensors, one per Bank, and one downstream(post-cat). If it is the V6 model, and it indeed is Bank 1, then just replace the O2 sensor, that's the most likely cause.

Where is the o2 sensor located on a 2006 mitsubishi eclipse gt 3.8v6 sensor 1 bank 1

Hi, your Eclipse is like Mitsubishi 380 V6. Bank 1 Exhaust is toward the radiator & sensor 2 would be attached to the exhaust pipe after your Catalytic converter. That is the second Oxygen Sensor on the front exhaust pipe which would be under the motor toward the muffler.
You can take a look at your exhaust pipe right it before it goes into your catalytic converter. Thats the approximate location of a great many o 2 sensors

Hello, I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT V6 3.0 that the service engine light soon has come on. A mechanic put his diagonistics machine on it and the error code P0135 - Heater circuit, bank 1 sensor 1. I...

it is not an O2 sensor but a heated oxygen sensor that is in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 1 bank 1 is the one against the fire wall
it is not a heater as such but has an internal heating system so that it reads the exhaust emissions correctly and adjusts the air /fuel settings in the ECM
normally has 4 wires
the oxygen sensor (O2S) is after the cat converters and is a completely different sensor to read a different exhaust gas

2000 eclipse gt getting a po1400 code and car does not idle right all the time and sometimes it dies. Mechanic said it was ecm, any ideas

PO1400 is not a common code. PO140 however is. PO140 is a oxygen sensor problem, it refers to bank 1 sensor 2 having no activity. This could cause your eclipse to not hold a good idle and possibly to stall. I would have a different mechanic check the car before you spend quite a bit of cash on an ECM as they can cost upwards of 800 dollars
