SOURCE: 98 Olds LLC - AC works but fan air does not blow

If you have a late model GM car and the system is controlled electronically the blend door actuator becomes weak. When this situation occurs it will not move the air direction door inside of the heater/air conditioner plenum. in your case not to the vents Replace the actuator with new and recheck the system. i hope this helps

SOURCE: Where is the vent / AC blend actuator fuse / relay

It will not be a fuse, the actuator motor is bad,the fuse is tied in with the blower and such,if the blower is working ,then the fuse is good.

Why don't I get heat out of floor vents?

In most cases it is the air blend door inside of dash or a blend door actuator which opens and closes the door...What these do is open and shut to direct the air from Top,center, and floor passage tunnels inside of dash....Or if you are lucky it can be a problem at the control knob that switches it from floor to defrost to vent...You will have to remove control panel and inspect behind it....On some vehicles it can be just a simple worn control knob...I Need to know what type of vehicle and how many miles are on it..before I can guide you through the procedure ....Don't just pull the dash for no reason when it could be simple.....

2002 ford explorer AC and heat blowing in dash, but very weak from the vents

On the motorcraft parts web site, you can blow up
a picture of the HVAC Blend Door Motors & locations,
as well as part numbers

You can get failed motor from Amazon

With knowing where the motors are located, try switching
the air flow modes manually, to see what positions do not work

Then you know what motors to replace

I also have professional scan tool software & can see the codes
for the motors in enhanced data.

The-- Vent Blend Doors-by name

Defrost-up top
Cabin -the vents as you say in the middle & on the sides
Floor
Recirculate-under the glove box

Air blows out all vents no matter where it is switched to heat or ac defrost, floor

its called the blend door actuator
its either stuck or or broken or shorted out it is deep in behind the dash located inside the air box where the heater core is and the ac condenser is its a fun job as for you have to rip your dash apart

Ac is blowing out of defrosterandnot panels in the dash. Air is cool cold air will blow out of rear seat panel/vent 1998 ford explored

The most common cause is a bad blend door actuator which controls air flow throughout the cabin. When air flow only flows from 1 section (either floor, vent, or defrost) it's an indication that the blend door actuator is either stuck or broken.

Heating system only blows out hot air through the vents

I would look at the air blend doors first, it sound like they are not working or your control in the dash is not working send a signal to them. they work by changing the air from hot to cold or in between.
