Horns are nothing more than an electrical coil that has a set of points to open and close the circuit. This sucks the horn plate in and out giving you the sound. If it is blowing fuses check the wiring for shorts to earth and if ok replace the horn as the coil has probably rusted up and has a dead short inside.

SOURCE: tail lights keep blowing fuse 50

hi...
this may be some short circuiting is taking place.that is some wire is lost the insulation and touching the car body. so when you apply break current flows through the body which increases the current and blows off the fuse. so please check the wire condition adn rectify it. it wil be fine.

The horn is not working in my son's car

There is a wire somewhere between the fuse box and the horn that is touching metal and grounding out the circut.Follow the wires from the horn to the fuse box carefully you should find your problem.

2004 Malibu Maxx keeps blowing horn fuse. Works when I replace fuse for about 6 times. Horn itself feels touchy as in only works when pressed certain way. Shift paddle on side of shifter also does not...

Try disconnecting the horn itself from the circiut, hold the horn button on for a while,if the fuse no longer blows,it's a safe bet the horn itself was the culprit,if it still burns the fuse, the wiring or clockspring are shorting out

I have a 1994 Honda, with automatic trans. The horn/brake lights don't work, when we replace the 20A fuse, the horns beeps and fuse blows. We tried disconnecting the horn in the steering wheel but didn't...

Well, in the front of the car, lower front bumper I mean where your lower vent grill are, there is this circle metaliic thing, probraly kinda rusted. That is the horn, and what you can do is disconnect the wiring harness there, if not, and you don't really need a horn anymore, you can just cut the wire.

could be you might check it out. many items take the same relay so you might try exchanging it with another one with the same numbers. If that isn't it you may have a short in the horn itself.

Horn keeps blowing on 1995 riveria won't stop till fuse blows

This exact same thing happened to my 1994 Buick Skylark Coupe. It started to go off just now and then, and it wouldn't stop until the fuse blew (like you said), or I literally punched the steering wheel repeatedly and sometimes it would stop. I assumed the horn was shorting out. One day it just stopped working all together. I took it into the dealership and they said that it had in fact shorted out. I bought a new horn kit on eBay, and had it put in by one of my buddies that is a mechanic for a Nissan dealership, and it resolved the issue. I'm guessing your horn is shorting out as well. I'd bet that the same exact horn that is in the 1994 Skylark is also in your 1995 Riveria. Not SURE, but I'm guessing. Check around for a replacement, or ask the dealer if they can order you one. Hope this helps!

Horn fuse keeps blowing out

Check the wiring around the horn and make sure nothing is touching metal...look under the hood at the horn and make sure everything is pluged in and there is no water on any plugs or wiring...Make sure the fuse is the correct number (ex: 10, 20, 25) If it is still blowing out the fuse then you after you do some checking then it is a short in some wires

No horn in '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee

go to the horn under your hood, check it for any thing wrong, then follow the power wire and follow it back to your steering wheal. this is where your problem is you just have to find out where the short is. and fix it.
