Security lock out possibly it stop the fuel pump and starter from working for short periods of time. If you have a little black chip on your key and your security light is on most likely the problem . YouTube has a vidio how to bypass the security lockout

Test the following and fix it. God bless you

If nothing happens when you turn the ignition key to the "Start" position, it means that the starter motor doesn't turn over the engine. Most commonly this could be caused by a dead battery;
If the battery checks out OK, but the starter still won't crank, there could be a number of possible reasons. Here are some of them:

The ignition switch could be bad - it's a common problem. An ignition switch is an electrical switch installed at the back of the ignition lock mechanism. If jiggling the key in the ignition helps start the car, the ignition switch should be checked first.
The starter solenoid control wire could have a bad connection.
The starter motor itself or a starter solenoid could be bad.
A neutral safety switch is bad. If a car doesn't start with the transmission in Park, but starts in Neutral, it could be caused by a problem with a neutral safety switch.

A problem with vehicle's security system or some other electronic control module (e.g., ECM, BCM) may also prevent the starter from operating.

Will a new pcm turn my key light off.and let my car Start? 2001 grand jeep Cherokee. I had let sit a few days in really cold weather. It wouldn't start. Dead battery, now after no gauges work either.

You need to make sure that you use an OEM key when reprogramming. Unless there has already been 2 OEM keys programmed the computer will not recognize the third. To start with order the OEM key have it cut . Then beneath the steering column will be a control box called a Lucas box. It has a serial number on it .I was told by the locksmith that you have to have a pro dongle, a machine that programs the key. That was a lie. The serial number from the Lucas box is entered into the dongle and it gives you back the number to be programmed into the vehicle computer.by doing a key dance ( a succession of on and off key switches which bring the computer in and out of program mode and also to enter the numbers into the computer.

Is the problem with the key and computer chip or the anti-theft system needs reset?

The problem id say is the key . Remove the antenna ring from the ignition and put your old key inside the ring and try to start it if it starts then you you have a choice , change the barrel to your old barrel so the old key works, try to code the new key to vehicle or to secure old key in ring and secure it somewhere .

Dose 93 cadillac have a immobilizer system

If your talking about a security system then yes...They put a chip in the key near the end close to the part of the key that you turn to start the car... This tells the computer that the key being used is authorized for the computer to start the car...The good thing is if you have a broken key to the car to save money you could check the resistance of the broken keys chip ,and go to radio shack ,and buy some resisters that match the resistance of the chip ,and go down to the ignition key wire toward the bottom of the steering column ,and unplug it...then take the resistor or resistors if you need more than one...Plug the resistor into the wire going under the dash to the computer not back to the key...Then start the car with another key made for the switch... It will start then...The other way is take it to gm that can read the computer ,and make a key for it...Hope this helps...

I lost my jaugar x type 2006 model key i bring the key from dubai **** it do not start

These cars often times have a computer chip in the key and if the on board computer in the car does not recognize the chip in the car key it will not start. The only way to get car to except a new or different key you must take it into the dealer and have the key and computer reprogrammed. I hope this helps you out.

The security light is on and wont start can i get and ignition switch with a key from a junk yard to start my car

The key has a radio transmitter in it that tells the computer it is the right key and also that a key is present, so that your car can't be hot wired. Replacing the switch won't solve anything since the key code is stored in the computer. The dealer can make new keys and program them to your car. Some locksmiths can do this to. Expect to pay around $150 to have a new key programmed to the vehicle. This is if you are lucky and it is the chip in the key that failed and not the transmitting system or computer.

Truck won't start anti-thef light on. Please help.

your key may need to be re-programed to the car --- if you have both original keys then you should be able to flip both of them through the inginion and then the truck should start just fine,, but if one of the keys is a ' clone key ' then you are going to need to go to a automotive locksmith and have the keys and computer re-programed. do not go to the dealer -- they will charge you a lot more than the locksmith will. but try and flip the keys through first,, start with one key, put it in the ignition turn the key to the on position ( NOT start position ) -- wait a few seconds,, then put the next key in ( to the on position ) and wait a few seconds,, then got back to the first key and turn to the on position,, wait a few more seconds and the light should go out --- start the truck. again, you may need your trucks computer re-programmed and since you have the keys the cost will be cheaper than if you had no keys.

REPLACED IGNITION TUMBLER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE REASON THE VAN WONT START IS THE ANTI THEFT DEVICE WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET IT STARTED?

As a locksmith, they should have told you upfront that they may not be able to get the car to start. Their job is to fix your key.

That being said, the locksmith will usually have the equipment and include the price to program your key to your car's computer. (if necessary). If there was damage to the vehicle or the wires from the lock to the computer, you'll have to see the dealership so they can reprogram the computer to accept the key. If the lock turns and key is programmed, but the car does not start, it's in the car's computer.
