1999 VW Passat. Head lights Blower motor blinkers

1999 VW Passat. Head lights, Blower motor, blinkers, wiper motor, quit working all at the same time'' I checked all the fuses and all are good. Is there a relay that powers all these acc. at the same time?

Yes, it's called the load reduction relay and it is in the 13 fold relay panel under driver side dash.

1999 vw passat turbo wont crank or turn lights on


- Switch on the head lamps for 5 minutes.
- Keeping the head lamps ON, start the engine.
If the lights die,
- Check the battery terminals.
- Check battery state of charge.
- Charging system.
If the lights still glow sharply,
- Check fuses and relays in under the hood fuse and relay box junction.
- Battery to starter motor cable.
- Battery to engine ground and chassis ground cable.
- Solenoid on starter motor.
- Starter motor.
- Wiring.
-Ignition switch.

1999 VW Passat AC/heat doesn't work? The belt broke this summer? I was told should still blow heat even if no belt?


If you are talking about the belt for the ac compressor, yes the heater should still work.
If the blower is not working, you will need to have the blower motor checked for voltage and ground.

I have a 99 vw passat and one day i smelt what smelled like burnt plastic or like an electrical fire and it somehow caused my windshield wipers, horn, lights, blinkers, and heater to stop working. my...


Cabin air filter is plugged. Replace and vacuum out housing. The smell is coming from the fan which is being over worked.
I am not a mechanic but use my technical training to save on expensive repairs.

1999 1.4cl auto VW Polo, windscreen wipers stopped working


Look into changing the ignition switch...sounds odd I know, but we had similar issue and that was the problem.

BLINKER LIGHTS DON'T WORK


Replace the turn signal flasher. Not sure where located on a vw, most cars it's on the fuse block, under dash.
