Terrible rear end rattle

Drive on very rough roads daily. Shocks and struts seam solid but when I hit a bump I just started hear a terrible rattle. Going on a smooth road I hear nothing and rides fine. Afraid it might be a tie rod or something very important.

It's probably the rear sway bar links. If you can jack your car up and check right behind both rear wheels you will be abale to see the sway bar which is connected to short links about 5in long with ball joints.

If either of them are broken or not connected anymore it can cause some pretty loud noises when you ride on rough roads or hit bumps. They run about $35 per link so it's not a very expensive repair.

Broken Spring in suspension system, talked to my mechanic nephew and brother and was able to move the spring and feel it was a little loose up in the fender well.

Does a 2001 buick lesabre have shocks ? if so how much does it cost to replace?

Ok first of all your car has shocks in the rear and they are not very hard to replace or terribly expensive. The front has what they call struts which in effect are shocks with a springs wrapped around them as an assembly. Replacing struts can be expensive and will probably need to be changed by a shop if you are not equipped to do it yourself. You will most likely need to get the wheels aligned as well. I recommend calling around to different shops for a price. My guess for new front struts installed plus the alignment is $300-$400.

Noise rattling

Too many to say just one but I can gif you a few things to look at. First would be the tie rods and ball joints. Then there is the end link pin. Calipers will make a rattle noise as well. My bet here is the ball joints though.

My 95 deville rattles a lot when I hit bumps ,,,what could it be

I would start with checking the muffler and pipes to see if they move when u push on them. Make sure car has set for a while so u don't get burned

Replaced the rear struts and shocks but there is still a rattle from the left rear wheel when i drive over the smallest of bumps in the road . someone mentioned the swing arm bushings: your thoughts?

You probably need to tighten down the center bolt. With the vehicle on the ground with weight on the struts (laden weight), tighten the center bolt in the strut tower. That should take care of your problem.

I have a terrible sqeaking noise coming front of my 1999 crown vi

Sounds like the front shocks/struts are too weak to support the vehicle. Stand at drivers front of vehicle and push down very hard watch as vehicle rebounds and bounces until it settles, then try the same on passenger side. Good shocks/struts allow a bounce or so, but will appear firm not loose.keep me posted to your results.

Shocks Rattle

hi the rattle from rear shocks may well be the lower anchor bushes that have dried up and cracked or shrunk on the fitting thus allowing the lower mount bolt to rattle about on its pin? if your shocks have covered high milage or show sign of leaking? then it would be beneficial to change them? but you can obtain the bushes and are easy diy if you wish ?
