check the 12v feed to the coils and the trigger wires to the coils. it maybe a faulty new coil, or leads and plugs, just because 1 & 4 are not firing it does not mean that those two plugs/leads are not faulty! with the engine running probe the coil pack wires with a power probe. you should have a solid red light on the probe for one of the wires wich will be the live to the coil. and the other wire/wires will alternate either green/red or green/clear to show the coil is being switched. if you have that then all is fine to the coils.

Have a mechanic check the timing on the car if its off you should know it will make a definite click ticking sound that increases with the rpm and also check the position of the coil on the camshaft!

if you have fire on the number one cylinder,it means that the ignition coil is working so your problem can come from spark plug wire or cap and rotor . unplug the wire from ignition coil to distributor and check for fire you are suppose to have fire because you saying having fire on cylinder one. from there change cap of distributor and rotor plus a set a spark plug wire.
Invalid test. When plug fires, the wire shoots around 40,000volts. When not firing, there is no current in the wire. Try switching the misfiring plug wire with another that is firing. Switch them both at the plug and at the coil tower. If that was a bad plug wire, the misfire will now be on the cylinder where you put the suspect wire. This will confirm a bad plugwire. Good luck.
iginition coil needs to be replaced. By for about 150 to 200, and take the Northstar cover off and replace. Very easy fix. Car will then run like a jet engine.
If the alterantor is OVER-charging the battery (or not charging it, either way) then the regulator is most likely bad. These are not generally replaceable, so you have to replace the whole alternator.
check to see if the rotor button is on right ,the button on bottom has a square to go in square hole ,can be put on backwards also, look for that first ,see if the distribor is getting fire and is putting out fire to the plugs, hope to help ,robert b.
95 excell, no spark on 2 & 3, coil replaced, leads & plugs tested.
