This is only a guess. I don't know anything about Mercedes. try the transmission dipstick hole. Generally all cars use the transmission dipstick hole to add transmission fluid. That is why the tranny dipstick is slightly larger than the oil dipstick.

first set the digital clock in command if you have the command in your car it will take automatically by the analog clock, if don't have the command set digital clock on instrument cluster display and press rest button without go out from clock setting then you can see it's setting automatically,
even I am seeing the same issue on my GL450 AND I bought Certified Pre Owned in March 2010 same model as yours. Last time when I had this MB service updated software but that didn't fix it. Now they cannot reproduce the same so couldn't apply any fix. Please let me know if you were able to get it fixed
Jealous of your car but besides that. Could you tell me the steps your going through to connect it to your car. Not some blackberries are picky (most) on what they connect to. If the blutooth in your car doesn't resemble a headset etc it may never connect.
