Try looking under the hood for a Maxi fuse

I would start by checking all the fuses under the hood.
There is a fuse called IOD which the factory leaves out and gets put in at the dealer.
That fuse could be bad.

First of all: Ground your car till you fixed this problem! A short can cause a fire and, believe me you can't stop it!
Next: check the complete wiring for the seat first, then remove the seat and check wiring and switch inside. After that, check the motor(s). If there is no problem with the seat and the wiring in and to the seat, remove the dash board (you need to remove it complete! This will take a day, if you don't do this every day). Use a wiring diagram and check the wiring for a short or broken wire. The electrical system is not as simple as it was in the later 80' . Cars with ODB systems uses wires not only for a special system, like power seat. The same wire can be uses to activate other systems so it is not easy to find the electrical cramlin right at the point you think it have to be! Searching for a short can cost you days or, in some cases weeks.
