T02I4HR need to find out size of motor and year if possible

What make , model and year vehicle ? engine size also ?
Engine temp goes full hot after few minutes , possible gauge stepper motor bad . Engine low power - electronic throttle control problem ,maybe ! Would need to knw make , model and year vehicle.

No, that would never work. Nowadays, always use an engine from the same year, or you will run into all kinds of headache with electrical hook-ups and other modifications. Only engine of exact same size and same year-the engine computer is designed for that.
It is possible other years for a 1993 explorer might work, but not any engine manufactured after 1995. That's a whole different project. Any salvager could tell you which years interchange with the '93 model, but it's a small window. And if you change engine size, more modifications than you could imagine.

Year/make/model/engine size???? There are a lot of things that can cause this type of problem. Without any vehicle info, it is hard to offer assistance. Possible vacuum leak/idle air control motor/coked up throttle body to name a few

I would say that it is a fair chance of it being possible
check for bell housing bolt locations and engine mounts and where hoses go for each engine

The actual engine would be close to the same if the year and engine size are. It would depend on the difference in year and size for the components. A salvage yard would be able to tell you for sure.

you need shims on the start. some of the older gm cars need shims when a new starter is installed
