My altima dies while driving at low speed, at a stop sign or stop light and stays in low idle, between 1 and 0 rpms. I have also noticed that while accelerating it will drop and lag for a second or 2 and then will jump back up.
Dear Tajack73: Nissan had a voluntary recall campaign on the 2002,2005,2006 Altima's with the 2.5 litre engines It envolves reprogramming the ECM.

The check engine light is on. The last time I had it checked it was on due to and O-2 sensor.
The car stalled on my twice today and it continues to sit in a low idle. The rpms needle was stitting in between 0 and 1 but closer to the 0.
My 2005 altima has died twice in the last 2 days. Once at a stop light, and the other pulling out of a parking lot from a stop. It didn't sputter or anything, just died.
I have a 4 cyl.
This car had two engines available. For me to better assist you in solving your problem, I need to know if you have a 4 cyl or 6 cly engine?
Do you have a check engine light on?If so have you found out what the code is?
