get a radiator flush run for about 20 miles .that will clean the radiator core and the heater core. of dirt and rust .then drain and refill with 50/50 mix of anti freeze. then heater on full run the engine with the expansion bottle cap off to bleed the air from the system then refit the cap.
either the blower motor is bad or you need to flush out the heater core.due to the age of the vehicle its probably clogged up with deposits and needs to be flushed out with air pressure or you can try hooking up your garden hose to it and flushi9ng it out that way
It has to be a small plastic wing on the back or engine side of radiator done low or it will be an allen screw recessed into the bottom on either corner
You have to be able to see the shot drain tube below the screw or valve, get under the car
its on the side of the radiator ,down towards the bottom of it,,on the drivers side,be care full because this stuff will gush out of it if you remove the drain plug all the way,and you need a good sized pan for it because it holds a lot of coolant, good luck,i hope this helps
why worry about the drain tap (if one is fitted),just undo the bottom hose clip on the radiator........you may have to replace it with a jubilee clip...
your radiator has a pecock on the bottom of it screw it out then you can run water through a hose behind it once it stops draining to get any residue out as far as the engine youll never truly get all of the old coolant out without tearing it down and putting it back together so flushing the radiator is just fine.
pull bottom rad hose it will drain. You might need to replace your thermostat there might be a vapour lock also you should have a screw in your cooling system somewhere for bleeding it(letting the air out)
