Remove a few of the clips on the inner fender liner, depending on which bulb u are replaceing(left or right?) turn the wheels in either direction and u will be able to slide ur hand or arm between the liner and fender to gain access to the bulbs and connectors..do not remove the battery .

2005 accord what is the fastest way to change the driver side headlight without removing the battery

In my old 06 Accord, it was quicker for me to drop the bumper cover to get to the back of the lamp. Also, you wont have to worry about disconnecting the battery and having to worry about radio codes or anything else like that. Just make sure that you remember where the clips and screws go and be careful to not break any of them. Hope this helps.

Is the low beam headlight bulb difficult to replace from under the hood on a2005 honda accord

I just replaced both low beam headlight bulbs on my 2005 Honda Accord. After reading the owner's manual and trying to remove the wheel well inserts (and breaking a couple of those clips in the process), I gave up on that approach and was able to change the passenger side and driver side low beam bulbs from the engine compartment under the hood. On the passenger side, fit your arm between the front of the car and the hose that is above the headlight. You should be able to reach the bulb, disconnect the electrical connection, turn the bulb 45 degrees counterclockwise to remove it, insert the new bulb turning it 45 degrees clockwise to secure it in the hole (be careful not to touch the bulb), and reconnect the electrical connection. I loosened the 3 screws that secure the bulb to make it easier to put in the new one, but that probably isn't necessary. My hand was scraped a bit doing this, but it was not too bad. On the driver side, remove the battery hold-down clamp (there is no need to disconnect the battery connections). Reach into the fender (shine a light there so you can see the bulb connection) and you should be able to reach the bulb and replace it similarly to the other bulb. You may have to move the battery slightly to get your arm in there. Replace the battery hold down clamp when you're done. I accidentally dropped the old bulb in the wheel well, but other than that it went pretty smoothly. Good luck.

I'm having a hard time replacing the driver side headlight. Am I overthinking this?

Why are you trying to change the headlight? Is it broken?
If you are trying to change the bulb, because it is burned out, that is done from the rear of the housing. You have to exercise a bit of care getting the old bulb out and putting the new one in, but is it not difficult. If you are removing the right-side (from the driver's position) bulb, remove the battery (make sure you have your radio anti-theft code if you have one of those radios). Reach behind the headlight assembly, grasp the bulb holder retaining collar, turn it counterclockwise, then pull out the bulb/holder assembly. To remove the bulb from the holder, simply pull it straight out of the holder. Reverse procedure to lock the holder into place.
Removing the headlight housing is somewhat more involved. There are five bolts that hold it in place.

I need to replace the halogen low beam bulb on the driver side of a 2004 Honda Accord. There is no access panel in the wheel well. So, to get at the bulb from the top, do I need to remove the air cleaner?

You can reach in behind grill to access headlight. THere will be a plastic ring that turns loose, then bulb and socket can turn and pull out.

How do i replace/remove the headlights from a 97 accord?

  1. Locate the headlight bulb that needs to be replaced. NOTE: It may be necessary to remove a component or the composite headlight assembly to gain access to the bulbs.
  2. Turn the headlights off.
  3. Detach the two prong connector from the base of the headlight bulb.
  4. Twist the bulb counterclockwise to unlock it from the headlight housing, then carefully withdraw the bulb from the housing. WARNING
Do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers. The pads of your fingers contain oils that will cause premature bulb failure. To install:
  5. Install a new bulb into the headlight housing, then turn it 1⁄4 turn to lock it into place.
  6. Attach the 2 prong connector to the bottom of the bulb.
  7. Turn the headlight switch on to make sure the bulb works, then turn the switch off.
  8. Install any components that were removed to get to the headlight bulb.

2005 Honda Accord headlight replacement.

For the driver's side headlight, yes, the battery must be removed to change the headlight. There are three screws but they don't have to be removed, just loosened enough to where the bulb can rotate ninety degrees to pull out. Be prepared to reenter the radio code as disconnecting the battery will cause the radio to electronically lock out. The radio code can be found on the security card or inside the user's manual if you're lucky.
