Code 12 normally relates to EGR. Depending on millage (around 200,000) it could be plugged passages. Best to remove EGR and start engine...if it idles ok, then yes to plugged passages. If it revs high or quits then passages are OK, check EGR valve with multi-meter. Lastly check wiring and connection.

Car turns over but won't start when hot and gives no codes

if a mercedes

Check the Fuel Pump Relay. behind the battery next to the OVP Over Voltage Protection Relay. They do fail. Occasionally the engine will not start when hot. This becomes more frequent until you are left stranded. If you are comfortable with jumping two terminals you can jump terminals 7 & 8 test the relay. if the car starts your Fuel pump relay is bad.

many possible causes. sounds all too much like a crank sensor failing. when it dies, does it act like you shut key off, (instant stall)? or does it sputter and cough, then stall out? seen this same situation and problem many times in my shop and a cranksensor fail can be hard to catch when it fails. most likely cause.

After new turn signal switch installed, srs warning will goes on when car starts

I suggest scanned the module in order to know exactly what is the fault code stored there. Note this code and send us for other details.

Fuelpump will not turn on when temperature is

have a mechanic scan for computer codes this will put you in a better direction than just changing parts although it wont tell you the exact problem

2003 malibu won't start. Will turn over fine and it amost starts if you leave it for awhile. Hoping its just fuel filter. If so how do I replace it ?? Thanks.

I just had this on my car too. Turn the key to "on" without starting the engine. Look at the display and see if the Anit-Theft light is blinking. If it is, you need to keep your key in the on position for about 15 minutes until the light stops blinking. Start the car when the light starts blinking.

My car want start it turns over but want start

You could try resetting the computer. The car maybe in lockout mode. Try turning your car over….leave the ignition on. Wait exactly 10 min. Then try turning over again….again leave the key on. Wait exactly 10 min and do it a third time….this time the car should start…maybe run a lil rough while it relearns the processes of your vehicle again. It is important to wait the exact 10 min each time. You will probably need a battery charger or a set of jumper cables because if your car goes low during this process it will not work. Good luck and I hope this works.

98 Accent stalling

When it dies..check for spark. You could have a component in the ignition system failing when the car gets warm.

If you don't have spark then you might need a new ignition module. The distributor cap and rotor should be checked for traces of carbon. This would be evidence of a leaking cap.

If you get check engine codes then you do have some sensors going out of range or failing all together. P0446 is an evap code right?
Make sure your fuel cap isnt plugged up and all your evap lines are ok.

1992 HONDA ACCORD WILL CRANK BUT NOT START

No spark is uasually caused by a faulty coil or the trigger unit, both are inside the distributor. Get a used distributor fron a scrap yard (about $4o) and replace yours.Remove the dis.cap and turn the engine until the rotor is pointing to fire # 1 cyclinder, and mark the exact position of the base before removing from the block." Do not turn the engine" Install the other Dist. with the base in exactly the same position and the rotor pointing exactly to # 1 cyclinder. Note. Failing to install the other dist.exactly the way you took the first one out will throw the timing out!!!!!
Be doing all of this be sure there is no spark.
