Antifreeze I bought a 98 Buick LeSabre and had it 5 days and it blew up. I bought a used motor for it with 85000 miles on it and had it put in. Ive had it back 3 days now and water is going out the exhuast. The motor had orange antifreeze in it when we got it but then when the machanic put it in he put green. I want to know if the green antifreeze is what may have caused these problems. Oh the other motor had green in it also. Thank You

The color of the antifreeze will have zero effect on the problem you are having.  I suspect the replacement engine has a leaking manifold gasket or a blown head gasket.  Why would you buy an engine with that many miles on it?

Just bought a 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited 85000 miles, think the seller has rolled back the mileages, checked the compression all across equal 120psi. Please advise. Thanks

dealers work out average usage at so many miles a month to check if the speedo has been tampered with
a 12 year old car would have 149129 miles on the clock so to be generous 100000 miles or if used as a sales car 200000 miles is the ball park figure
the figure of 85000 miles equals 7000 a year well be,ow the 12000 the average car owner would put on the clock
the compression pressure should be about 40 psi higher to be a good motor
not much you can do about the speedo without proof but if it runs well and is in good condition, save your money until it starts to fade and put in a fully reconditioned exchange engine

Have alternator checked car may be running on battery power only. Check alternator belts as well. At night, look at lit dashboard while car is in idle, if dashboard lights are pulsating a bit the alternator may need to be replaced.

What kind of cooland to i put in my 1997 buick lesabre?

I would put any major brand of antifreeze/coolant that has ethylene glycol in it.
Green is the most common.
5 year warranties are found on the type that mixes with any type of antifreeze.
The Dexcool may be more money but I've found it isn't any better than the regular antifreeze.

Good luck on this repair.

Just bought a nice used '92 Buick LeSabre Limited. NO Owner's Manual! I can't figure out how to set the damn CLOCK! Anyone care to fill me in on this??

Turn on the power knob for the radio/clock. Wait until the clock display shows up. Press "set" button and use the 'Scan' and 'Seek' buttons to set the time.

Good Luck

Check your heater hoses. It sounds like your leak is a hose.

Is hard to replace #4 sparkplug or wire on a 2001 lesabre

In the front of the car motor you'll see two black dog bones they call them. They attach the front off the motor to the front clip.Take both bolts out of the motor side. You'll notice your motor wants to rock back and forth now.Next underneath those things you just took off is another i let.Pull the motor towards the front of the car and put a bolt threw that i let.By doing that your pulling the motor away from the fire wall. This makes it more easily to access the rear plugs and more room. Then you'll need a swivel and the 5/8 socket with the rubber inside of socket so it dont break the plugs and a 4 to 6 inch extension to a ratchet. This should help you.Have a great day..

Low Oil Pressure?

Thats fine. It only takes 4 psi of pressure to keep your engine oiled.

2000 Buick Lesabre

If you smell antifreeze in the vents, you have a bad heater core. If not, it a sign that the coolant system is either low on antifreeze or has a blocked coolant vent passage.
