My xterra's doors wont stop locking. When you are driving it is locking constantly. Twice the alarm has gone off with the doors open. Tried the fuse and that is not the problem. It happens with the key in door as well as keyfob and with the switch on both front doors as well as the manual locks on the doors.
Hello Ivy Parrish,
There are two ends to every circuit...
"Goes into"... & comes "out-of"
Take a look at this AMAZON PAGE to see your

For a reasonable sum... you can also get a voltage
tester called a "NON-CONTACT"... which means
you can check for the presence of BATTERY without
accidentally EXPLODING any AIR-BAGS...
(I'm JUST suggesting a little CAUTION)...
Shorting any wire can always be HIGHLY problematic.

The power lock's are controlled by a computer , smart entrance control module . Probably a bad input to the module making it think the door's are being locked . Watch these video's Door Locks Go Crazy 1

Checking for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes should be the first step in the diagnostic procedure . Not at a auto parts store ,because they can not check these code's . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop. Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info . year , make ,model an engine size. Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on power lock's . Click the search button then the blue link.
SOURCE: HORN WILL NOT SOUND BUT DOORS WILL LOCK WHEN I USE MY KEYLESS ENT
The title of you problem mentions the horn but the actual problem mentions the flashers? Which is it? You can turn the 'horn beep' feature on and off by simultaneously holding the lock and unlock buttons down on the remote for about 3 seconds or more. When the horn feature is turned on you will hear the horn, and when it turns off you will only see the lights flash.

You don't want to turn the security system completely off, besides there really is no need to. To arm and disarm the vehicle simply use the key in the drivers door. When you turn the key and lock the car the system will arm after about 30 seconds. When you come back to the car and unlock the car with the drivers door lock cylinder the system will unarm, just the same as if you were using the remote. If the system is unarmed and it still wont start you probably have a NATS issue with the key. This is different than simply disarming. You can't shut off or disarm the NATS system.

SOURCE: 1993 Nissan Maxima SE Car Alarm freaks out, and other electrical
Im no professional but i did recently buy a 93 maxima and i have the same security alarm problem and my powered locks dont work at all. im taking off the door panel today to take a look and see if the alarm sensor is loose or damaged, if it is, ill probably just disconnect it. one thing i have noticed though is that when i hit the lock or unlock button, i hear a faint click from the dashboard area which im assuming is the solenoid on a transistor which would mean that the buttons work but the transistor isnt delivering power. Semi-Solution for Locks: Listen for very quiet click when you lock/unlock doors, if you hear it, uve got major work to do, if you dont, then take apart the door and check the switch connections. Semi-Solution for Alarm: take off the door panel and disconnect the sensor.
