Stalling, Chugging, Hard-Running

I had my car in the shop yesterday to be diagnosed. A technician un-plugged my sensor(s) as a temporary fix as my car stalls on take-off (not always) and has extreme issues starting (once warm) and chugs. Now my car is chugging as I drive and I know it's in part due to the computer not being able to ''read'' the temperature of my engine, etc... but how to I reconnect the sensor/gauge? I'm letting my engine cool down now, but didn't find any help in my manual. My car is a 1994 Saturn SL2 1.9L DOHC sedan.

I, too, have a problem with the RPM's running oddly going from 1.5-2 then down to 0 and my car almost dies, then it goes back up to 1.5-2 then back down to 0 and almost dies ... since they unplugged the sensor for the coolant it no longer does that, but my car is acting awefully & I want to reconnect the sensors...but don't know how & the shop is closed. A parts store service man said it could also be the Throttle Sensor...?? Anyone have any idea? The estimate I got to fix my car was $1,120 - I bought the car for $1,900. Is it even worth it to fix the darn thing???

Running rough& stalling

Brenda, this could be a lot of different things to cause hard start and stalling. Faulty crank sensor, idle air control valve, EGR, vacuum leak, injectors, fuel pump, ignition circuit, distributor faulty, plugs, wires, plugged exhaust, etc. Find a good technician check the codes and have them diagnose and give an estimate on repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

What do I need to look at fixing? the car turns over, but does not start...chugging sound when turning the key.

is it turning over fast. If trying to start, chugging then would possibly have code stored in PCM, sounds like TPS, IAC or MAF sensor. It can be hard diagnosing without scanning to get a starting point to start at.

Rough, chugging when driving and conking out

Could also be a faulty mass air flow meter, or throttle position sensor. It's hard to tell, you need to take it to a shop to be properly diagnosed.
