Jeep Compass making squeaking noise when turning

there are many checks, for sure on a lift first
to inspect all things under car for damage
makes noise when, accel or decel, or cruise or braking or turning.
when it makes noise now that matters too. under all driving modes
even bumps in the road.
spin wheels. check for loose wheel bearing or bad brake drag,.
not told you what subframe means, nor why it failed, collision damage.? what?
we use a wireless stethoscope tool to hear any noise on the car
mine has 4 mics and 4 channels and I drive and 2nd tech
listens to all 4 channels, each MIC placed in key points on the car.
and never fail in finding the actual source
take it to a real shop get it diagnosed for noise.

Please get your car checked. You may have bent the Tie rods or the control arm and the Ball joint is making the Squeaking noise. Sway bar end links and Strut bearing will also make noise going over bumps.

IF NOT TRY SWAY BAR BUSHINGS

hard to tell without hearing what your hearing how ever if the alternator runs off a seprate belt remove and see if the noise is gone

sure, you need help a live person, nobody hear can find noises.
it must be heard by the mechanic.

makes noise, moving only,
only bumps, or turns?
only in gear,
only accerlating
only deacelerating.
only in some gears.
only in 4wd? or 2wd?
only coasting,
only coasting out of gear.
see, that takes a skilled mech to do all that and 10x more. to find
the SOURCE of said noise.

Check the disk brake pads. At slower speeds you can hear them squeak because there is less wind and road noise. The other possibility could be a bad u joint at the ends of the axle half shafts on the front differential. Check both. I really doubt it is the transfer case. You transfer case is engaged all the time. The axle is locked and engaged when you flip the lever by a vacuum motor on the axle shaft on the differential.

noises are a pig to diagnose from afar but i would get a can of spray silicon and spray one component at a time to find the noise...do it when dry and when you dont hear it guess what?.....

i had a problem with my compass when it was new. at first there was a nice kinda high pitched sound coming from the engine compartment. it was not loud so i ignored it. after a while the sound seemed to get louder and not even, kind of like a loud squeak. it will come and go. and yes it was the water pump. the dealer replaced it and no more noise after that.

Even if the joints appear to be OK, often they run dry and are rusted inside. Unfortunately you cannot see that unless you remove the axle and visually check them out.
You have universal joints in there? I thought they began using c/v joints right around 2000. Check that the brake pad sensors are not hitting the rotors as well that can make a squeaking noise.Before taking anything apart, try to determine which side the noise is on.

Is the coil spring binding from a bad strut mount bearing?
