A trouble-free engine starting went Troublesome halt after a 500 meters journey, with full throttle press on gas pedal!

Hello, i really need help with my dad's 1995 Peugeot SR (Auto), which always ended in the workshop like almost alternate days, The car already went for major overhauling, whole engine been changed, you name it, still couldn't find the problem, After rectifying the idling RPM which keep decreasing below the 1000 rpm, while queuing the traffic jams, now the car starting to loose power after 20 mins journey with max speed 30-45 km/h, especially going an uphill slope, My dad would press and pump the gas pedal simultaneously, but nothing can stop from the idling car to a stop, and need to ignite the car again, Hope anyone could give me a solution to this Critical Problem that we suffering. Thank You Very Much.

SOURCE: high revs

being a fuel injected engine , there are many reasons this could be happening.
from the top , lets check the Manifold Absolute Pressure (M.A.P.) sensor , as it is easiest.
Find the MAP sensor , it has a couple a wires and a vacuum tube going to it and is on the firewall or fender support under the bonnet.
Disconnect the wire harness from it (small plug with wires).
If the engines RPMs drop to normal , replace the MAP sensor.

SOURCE: My Peugot Partner Diesel van only gets 2000rpm max

First - I am amazed at the runaround they have given you over this - and all the work they have charged you for.
This seems to be stuck in "limp mode" - which is an electronic basic running mode when it doesn't get all the info from the sensors (of which there are too many on peugeots !)

The most likely to start with is any damage to the exhaust sections - or any catylist fitted. Diesels use them to reduce particulates, and can become blocked - causing backpressure and all sorts of running problems.

The cheapest solution to you is to take it to an exhaust specialist - and ask them to check it.
A bad knock can shatter a ceramic catylist - virtually blocking the entire system.

I have a peugeot - but after numerous electronic faults - will never buy another.

Hello My lincoln mkx 2011 stops when i hit the gas and message awd off can not drive up to 50km/hr i had also message check inlet full anny suggestion please?

Sounds like it's in limp mode . Is the check engine light on , or a yellow wrench symbol ? could be a problem with electronic throttle control . Have a scan tool hooked up an checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Your gas pedal has sensors inside that wear out , also throttle position sensors inside the throttle body ,this sensors are inputs to the PCM - engine computer .

1996 ford escort lx engine runs to fast

If it idles high, with it in park, block off mouth of throttle body with something, it should kill the engine. If very little or no effect on idle, you have false air getting in there from somewhere.
Make sure throttle valve is closing, where applicable, take throttle cable loose, see if idle returns to normal. Check and clean idle air system. Any applicable trouble codes?

Our 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7 when started goes to full throttle 6000 rpm and has to be immediately shut off.

John, first make sure it is not floor mat or carpet holding gas peddle down causing throttle issue. If all looks good there, would suggest you check throttle cable for being seized, throttle body seized or return spring faulty/broke. You may want to contact a good Tech, have them diagnose and estimate repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

What does this mean when engine light with down arrow and loses power

I am only able to shoot you a guess on this and hopefully it steers you the right direction. I believe your vehicle went into limp mode. This can be from over heating to emission problems to a bad piston. The vehicle does this to protect itself. The cheapest way to diagnose this one is to take it in. Remember, having it diagnosed does not mean you cannot fix it yourself. Just pay the fee and take it home if it is something you want to tackle.

you need to clean the throttle body.take the big hose off the throttle assmebly then with some throttle body cleaner and a tooth buush opend the throttle full and spray and brush the black off. then start the engine and let idle for 5 minuets in park then 3 minuets in drive . do not touch the gas peddel.

Stuck gas pedal cause the car not to start

Yes, if the gas pedal is stuck fullt down the Throttle Sensor located in the throttle body will note the throttle position and shut down the fuel injectors. If in the future your fuel injected car becomes flooded, hold the gas pedal down and turn the engine over this will help free the engine of too much fuel.

I hope this may have assisted you,
Tom

The TPS sensor (or Throttle Position Sensor) is bad locate it and replace, it is located where the rubber air intake hose meets the intake manual, look for a wireand plug, also to make sure it is this sensor bring the truck to an Auto Zone and have them read any stored trouble codes for free this should confirm the faulty TPS.

Accelerator pedal occasionally sticks off idle

Hello There.

Doesn't sound serious just need to WD40 and grease the throttle cable and mechanism. It'll also be good if you do the same at the pedal end, this will solve your proble.

Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate me on fixya.

2001 Golf 1.8T

Cruise control and throttle pedal go to a butterfly aperature on throttle body.  Look in the engine compartment and while someone pushs on gas pedal.   Look at the area where the cable comes out and goes around a semicircular widget (throttle body butterfly).  Cruise control has another cable that joins this same plate. Check for slack in cable, clear cable path,  and look for anything in that area that might be broken or routed wrong.
good luck
