Bluetooth/radio stopped working

2005 BMW 325I - Have had NO problems with cell phone, bluetooth, or radio since the car was purchased 1 yr ago. Suddenly yesterday the radio panel reads ''PHONE'' and that's it. Cell phone will not connect, cannot listen to radio or CD. I deleted the device pairing (as it wasn't working), to start over from scratch, now I get ''No bluetooth device found, try again''. I've tried and re-tried, same response.

The Bluetooth on my 2007 Disco 3 is not working. It does not show up when I search for a device on my phone to pair with. I can only assume it is switched off in the car? My phone works fine on Bluetooth with other devices. Thanks

In first instance try to disconnect the unit from the mains and reconnect 15-20secs later 8 times out of 10 it helps. otherwise you might need to reprogram the unit processor which is more complicated and requires knowledge and understanding of electronic principles, assembler, also some devices to perform the task.
Otherwise I'm not sure about exact model of your ECU (computer) but in some cases it also gives the access to reprogrammable radio unit, so in this case laptop, one simple program (u can find it as free downloadable .exe file) and special diagnostics cable wuold sort everything out. But as I said not all ECUs offers such an option. And if you'll go for this step you need some knowledge about electronics and soldering as you'll have to build the cable I mentioned, as tu purchase one would be quite painfull for your vallet.

Hope it helped although if you need any further information just drop a line here.

I cannot paire any phone thrue bluetooth with my x5 BMW 2005

I know that 2004 BMWs used a Bluetooth protocol that is now obsolete. There are no longer any cell phones made that will pair with a 2004 BMW unless you get a very expensive upgrade to your Bluetooth module from BMW. Not worth it. When my wife got a new phone several years ago, she had to switch to aftermarket Bluetooth devices because as I recall, it was something like $2k to upgrade the Bluetooth in her '04 330i.
I was under the impression that 2005 BMWs use a more current Bluetooth communication protocol, but I don't know that for sure. If your car is an early 2005, I would suspect that perhaps it uses the same protocol as the '04s.

The radio on my bmwx3 stops working when bluetooth mode is activated on my phone.

Most BMWs have this feature on the bluetooth options to allow you to hear when talking on the phone.. you may be able to find out how to change this in your owner's manual in the radio chapter.

Remove radio 2003 bmw 325i

Go to an auto parts store and get a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and look up disassembly of the dash board area. That will be the best solution to getting that radio out.

2004 BMW 328i bluetooth

Are you sure the blutooth is active in your car? Contact the local dealer and have them run a "DCS" and confirm the car is fitted with Blutooth. Then go to www.bmwusa.com and check that your phone is apporved to work with the car. Provided nothing is wrong with the car you can then follow the instructions below.
  1. make sure your phone's bluetooth is "always on"
  2. get your phone all the way to the "search screen" and stop
  3. press the "menu button on the radio
  4. press the button below the "phone" in the menu screen of the radio.
  5. press search on your phone to locate the car.
  6. after the phone locates the car press yes to "bond"
  7. the phone/car will now ask for a password, enter 1111 and press enter or ok.
Ifyour passwrd does not work you will have to go to the dealer to get the correct one or you can locate the TCU in the driver's rear inner panel in the trunk and get the number off the unit. It will say "PK XXX"
