I have a dodge stratus 2000 with 2.4 liter dohc motor, ran fine then stalled once started right no spark will not start

Try using one of the old plugs and connect it to #1 and a good ground then try starting to visually confirm if spark is/is not present. Its much easier to see the spark in the dark. If you get a spark the problem is not electrical and could be a bad ground between the plug and the block, rarely happens, but not unheard of.

What causes loss of excelleration while driving

It sounds like either your fuel pump has quit or your fuel filter is badly plugged. If you crank it for a while and do not smell gasoline back at the exhaust, your fuel pump has probably quit.

Car starts and runs good untill the motor warms up.once the motor gets hot,the car cuts off and will not start.ran water over the distributor and the car started.what caused that?

The most likely cause is you have a bad distributor. The coil is inside the distributor and when it gets hot, it quits creating spark. The testing to verify this is a little complicated and takes a little know how.
To test the coil in the distributor first disconnect the Automatic Shut Down (ASD) relay (located on the drivers side on the firewall in a group of three relays, it is the middle one) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) (on the drivers side in the front of engine compartment to the right of the air filter housing) connectors.

Next, remove the distributor cap and connect a grounded jumper wire near the coil tower. This is to check for spark jumping from the coil.

Jumper pin 30 to pin 87 at the ASD relay.

Check for 12 volts to the Dark Green/Orange wire at the single wire connector at the distributor. This wire feeds the positive side of the coil.

5. Connect a 12v test light to B+. With the probe end of the test light, momentarily tap the Black/Gray wire at pin 11of the PCM. This action should cause the coil to fire. If there is no spark out of the coil tower during this step, the distributor has failed and needs to be replaced. If there is spark from the coil tower check all powers and grounds at the PCM.
Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Hello i have a 92 nissan 240sx just got car started after installing head gasket car ran great all day other than a small surge under mild throttle, later that night when i went to start the car now i have...

When replacing head gasket you had to disconnect and move spark plug wires and coil wire.Sounds to me if it ran for a little while then died out look for a burned wire by exhaust manifold.Something must of shorted out.Thats why it ran a little while and died.

This problem started about two weeks ago. when i started the car and left the house it was running but the rpms would drop and the car would shut off but start back up immediately while going tdown the...

This is a good indication of a bad ignition control module. The module is located under the coil pack (where all of your spark plug wires come from) and may be testable. Auto Zone says they can't accurately test this part but it is $100 to replace it.

No spark but car cranks over

Have you checked for fuel pressure ? With only 1 coil pak out, the car should start. So, start from the beginning, ... Check for spark on several plug wires. If spark, then check for fuel, is the fuel pump working? Check the breaker in the trunk, drivers side behind the panel. If still no fuel, then could be a wire short or fuse,or just the pump in the tank needs to be replaced. If you do have spark and fuel, then check the MAF sensor on the air intake. This will shut the motor down more so then the MAP. Only Ford has this part and it cost's, and once you open the box they will not take it back. Have someone, or even Ford check the MAF sensor, or check at a scrap yard for hopefully a good used one. There's more to check, including the crank sensor, but start with this. Good luck.
